Disney•Pixar’s Coco is one legendary movie that has touched the lives of many. It’s a blockbuster hit that made everyone laugh, made everyone cry, made everyone sing along to all of the heart-warming and breathtakingly beautiful songs, and it made everyone see the importance of family and loved ones. Nominated for two Academy Awards and the winner of the 2018 Golden Globe Award for “Best Animated Motion Picture,” the success and impact Coco has made is unrivaled and unprecedented.

Today, February 27th marked a special day as it was the declaration of “Coco Day in L.A.” A marvelous presentation took place at City Hall with L.A. City councilmember Gil Cedillo as he honored Coco director, Lee Unkrich and producer, Darla K. Anderson at the event. Coco cast-members including Anthony Gonzalez (the voice of Miguel), Renee Victor (the voice of Abuelita), Gabriel Iglesias (voice of the Clerk), Alfonso Arau (the voice of Papa Julio), Selene Luna (Voice of Tia Rosita), Lombardo Boyar (voice of Mariachi/Gustavo), Blanca Araceli (voice of Emcee), Dyana Ortelli (voice of Tia Victoria) and Carlos Moreno Jr. (the voice of a handful of characters including Corn Man) all had an extraordinary time celebrating the monumental day.

Not only is it “Coco Day in L.A.” but today also happens to be the day that Coco released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand.

The remarkable event also featured performances by Anthony Gonzalez with the Mariachi Divas of hit songs from Coco including “Un Poco Loco” and “Remember Me.” The event was truly unforgettable and such a fantastic moment for all Coco lovers.
