The remarkable chef has created hundreds of the most awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping cakes while working with his friend, the Ace of Cakes himself, Duff Goldman at Charm City Cakes, and showcasing their work on Food Network shows Ace of Cakes, which had an incredibly successful 10 season run, and the new, competition series, Buddy vs. Duff. Manthorne never fails to amaze viewers with his admirable work. From executing challenging engineer work to adding intricate details to cakes, anything that he works on becomes a Manthorne masterpiece.
We’ve seen dynamic duo Duff Goldman and Geof Manthorne work on some of the most unbelievable cakes – from a cake to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic film, Back to the Future, to creating a breathtakingly beautiful and elaborate cake of the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, with an inside view of the stained glass windows for season two of Buddy vs. Duff. It’s sometimes hard to remember that what they create is actually made of cake. Now, with season two of Buddy vs. Duff currently airing, the stakes of the competition are even higher. The mechanics are more complicated. The cakes are bigger than ever. And the finished products are just out of this world.
Geof Manthorne is a true artist using an edible medium. His talent is unrivaled. All of the cakes he works on is beyond impressive and leaves everyone truly speechless. Not only is Manthorne a brilliant chef, but he’s also a gifted musician, showcasing how much of a multi-talented individual he is. Inspired by folk music, Geof Manthorne released an EP titled, “The Reading Line” a few years ago and also mesmerizes everyone with his sensational, live performances. Music transcends boundaries, and that’s exactly what Geof Manthorne’s music does for fans.
