Alexisjoyvipaccess: Congratulations on all of the phenomenal success with your career! First off, can you tell us what inspired you to focus your life around acting?

John-Paul Howard: I was inspired to continue acting after my first performance as an actor. I did a small-town theatrical performance of Snow White. I remember being so nervous opening night, up until my very first line and the crowd loved it. So, I decided right there, THAT’S what I want to keep doing.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: You star in the highly-acclaimed, horror film, The Wretched. You did a marvelous job in the film and needless to say, after watching it, it’s hard to sleep with the lights off! Can you tell us what the experience was like working on the film?

John-Paul Howard: Working on The Wretched was probably one of the greatest experiences in my life. I got to work with Brett and Drew Pierce who are phenomenal directors and even better brothers! I learned so much from my fellow actors, especially my father played by Jamison Jones. We spent a great deal of time together. He even taught me how to drive stick-shift on our off-time!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Is there a moment that sticks out to you the most from working on the movie?

John-Paul Howard: Gosh, there were so many amazing memories it’s hard to pick one moment that sticks out the most, but I’d have to go with the scenes in the cave. We were just working in the small stage for a couple of days. I was constantly getting soaked and muddy for hours and Maddy, the Wretch, was too. We were fighting for hours, it felt like days! Looking back on it, I just love doing my own stunts too.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Can you tell us what the atmosphere was like working on a horror film?

John-Paul Howard: The atmosphere was always light and airy because Brett and Drew liked to keep it that way. I honestly would forget we were working on a horror film! Everyone just seemed so happy to be there!

Alexisjoyvipaccess: You also worked on the series, Midnight Texas. Do you have a favorite episode that you’ve worked on from that show?

John-Paul Howard: Probably my final episode where, spoiler alert, I died. Dying on camera is always fun, especially if you get it right and the reactions are just priceless. But, with that episode, I just got to hang out with everyone more and really felt like part of that family.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: To add onto your many accomplishments, you also starred in the film, Hell or High Water alongside Chris Pine. What was it like for you working on that project?

John-Paul Howard: Hell or High Water was very short, but so much fun. I was absolutely star-struck working with Chris Pine and meeting Jeff Bridges, and of course, learned so much from just one little scene with Chris.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: What would be your dream role to portray?

John-Paul Howard: I’ve always wanted to portray a hobbit or ranger from The Lord of the Rings or a Jedi from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, if they’re doing that, which they better be!! There are too many roles I want to play right now, but I could totally settle on Kvothe from The Kingkiller Chronicles.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: If you could work alongside any other actor / actress in a future project, who would it be?

John-Paul Howard: I would love to work with Chris Pine again to see how far I’ve come and how much more I can learn from dealing with him now. Him, or Ryan Reynolds, after all, Deadpool probably could use a new sidekick.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: Lastly, if you could bring out one message to all of your fans, what message would that be?

John-Paul Howard: Please stay safe right now, and watch out for those nasty witches and Wiccans.
