You know those shows that are so superb, so imaginative and so surreal that you can’t help but find yourself speechless within the first few seconds? HBO Max’s new series Raised by Wolves is one of those shows. The sci-fi genre is synonymous to the legendary Ridley Scott, who executive produces the series and directs the first two episodes. Created by the great Aaron Guzikowski, Raised by Wolves transports viewers to the far away planet of Kepler-22b in a series that is artistic, otherworldly and purely brilliant.

Raised by Wolves follows “two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task” (source: HBO Max).

Every aspect of the series contributes to making it the phenomenal show that it is. The desolate scenery sets the stage for the eerie moments that awaits. In the first episode, we are introduced to two androids – Mother and Father, who create six, human children through thin tubes plugged into Mother. The unparalleled and sensational talents of Amanda Collin (Mother) and Abubakar Salim (Father) will absolutely mesmerize you in this series. Their incredibly realistic presentation as androids is spectacular. Collin and Salim’s portrayal as androids in this series is unmatched and will undoubtedly make history as sci-fi fan-favorite characters.

With its launch just a few months ago in May, HBO Max has already brought out a countless amount of outstanding, original series and movies. Raised by Wolves is yet another HBO Max hit. For sci-fi fans, Raised by Wolves is the series you’ve been waiting for all this time. And, if you aren’t normally inclined to choose a sci-fi series to watch, viewing even just a few seconds of Raised by Wolves will change that for you. The premiere episode alone is filled with so much action and so many mind-blowing events. It’s a gripping show that will have you instantly enthralled.

HBO Max celebrated the debut of Raised by Wolves with an out-of-this-world virtual premiere and after-party on September 1, 2020. During the exceptional premiere event, guests were able to get an advanced screening of the magnificent, first episode. Afterwards, the screening turned into an interactive after-party that was one word… EPIC. Featuring several rooms, each with a different and fantastic activity, all of the fun and extreme excitement made it feel like you were experiencing everything in person and not through a computer screen.

One room featured an insightful and fascinating, fireside chat with podcast host Holly Frey and acclaimed astronomer Lucianne Walkowicz. Another room featured live music from DJ Huneycut (that literally had me having my own solo dance party at home), with a musical performance from Elephant Heart. There even was a molecular cocktail demonstration with Nathan Oliver and Ria Soler from BTL SVC. Guests were also able to get an inside look at the making of the stellar series with a special “From Sketch-to-Scene” behind-the-scenes video. The virtual premiere and interactive after-party for Raised by Wolves was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before.

Alexisjoyvipaccess was honored to receive a wonderful #GiftFromHBOMax to celebrate the premiere of Raised by Wolves, which included scrumptious treats based off of the space-inspired theme of the series such as Moon Cheese snacks, an astronaut food freeze-dried ice cream sandwich, Terra Chips and a fantastic Spicy Maid cocktail from BTL SVC. The gift box also included a necromancer statue from the series and a unique QR code, that when activated, initiated an AR technology to experience the new world of the show first hand.

To sum it all up in one sentence, Raised by Wolves is a must-see. Be sure to watch Raised by Wolves out now on HBO Max – follow @HBOMax and @RaisedWolvesMax on social media. Join in on the online conversation by using #RaisedByWolvesMax.
