Back and better than ever! It’s been over a year since the last Vanderpump Dogs event due to the pandemic, and as we all continue to get by during this very trying and unprecedented times, the remarkable Lisa Vanderpump and the Vanderpump Dogs team came together even stronger to host one of their most successful events yet. The fifth annual Vanderpump Dogs World Dog Day event went out with a bang… or shall we say, “a woof” šŸ¶ on August 7, 2021 welcoming dog owners, dog lovers, adorable pups and celebrity guests to celebrate the furry friends who have brought so much love, comfort and safety to us all during such a tough time.

There truly is a marvelous, special feeling in the air when it’s the Vanderpump Dogs’ World Dog Day. From getting to see super cute pooches walking around in tutus to learning more about the many ways people can join Lisa Vanderpump and the Vanderpump Dogs’ mission to help dogs in need and put an end to dog abuse and mistreatment, World Dog Day is an incredibly inspiring event that makes such a powerful impact. Especially with what everyone has had to endure with the pandemic, and with rescue efforts for dogs being greatly affected, it’s so moving to see the many efforts Lisa Vanderpump and her foundation’s team have made to overcome the difficulties of the pandemic and still assist an innumerous amount of dogs to give them the life they deserve.

The past year has been extremely difficult for everyone, and keeping a foundation alive throughout COVID-19 has had its unique challenges,” said the SUR restaurant owner. “It is such an incredible feeling to be able to finally come together and celebrate these animals, in our first event in over a year and a half. Through the efforts of our foundation, we have now rescued and re-homed over 2,300 dogs domestically.”

The renowned restaurateur and TV personality spoke with AlexisJoyVIPAccess at the event and discussed how she used Cameo, a personalized video shout-out app, to raise funds and have 100% of the proceeds benefit the Vanderpump Dog Foundation. Vanderpump raised a whopping $252,000 alone just from creating fun Cameos for her fans.

The spectacular event was supported by many phenomenal, celebrity guests including Lance Bass and Michael Turchin,Ā Vanderpump RulesĀ starsĀ Tom Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, James Kennedy, Raquel Leviss, Lala Kent and Randall Emmett, actor Manolo Vergara and rapper Iggy Azalea.

Attendees were able to enjoy a day full of exciting festivities including an oh, so fabulous “Vanderpump Dogs Fashion Show” with Lala Kent, Raquel Leviss and People Magazine‘s “Sexiest Vet,” Evan Antin serving as hosts, and ultimately honoring Vanderpump Rescue dog, Gabby as the winner. In addition, rescue pup Diana was recognized as The Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s “Dog Of The Year” for her strength and bravery after months of surgery and recovering from terrible wounds.

The event also featured over 20 pet-centered vendors that attendees got the chance to check out and also educate themselves more about pet adoption. One of World Dog Day’s long-time sponsors, Zappos, led the adoption area at the event, helping many precious doggies find their loving, new homes. Attendees also got to listen to some great, live music, eat delicious food and snap some lovely photos with their canines at a cute “Doggy Kisses” photo-booth.

In addition to all of the excitement from the event, Lisa Vanderpump announced some very special news that her daughter, Pandora will be welcoming her own bundle of joy this winter. Vanderpump shared her and her husband, Ken Todd’s enthusiasm at the event over being first-time grandparents.
