The unparalleled exhibition officially opened to the public on Sept. 3, 2021 with a grand opening event that took place on Thursday, Sept. 2 at the Vogue Multicultural Museum in Hollywood, California. The special, opening night event was attended by none other than consummate Pink Floyd drummer, the stupendous Nick Mason. The renowned drummer welcomed guests to the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony and also toured the Los Angeles exhibition, snapping some photos in front of the band’s artifacts.

Attendees at the opening night event were able to fully submerge themselves into the Pink Floyd universe by first receiving a pair of headphones to listen in on more details regarding the band’s mementos and the many rooms guests got the chance to explore at the exhibit. The experience has everything from the drumsticks used by Nick Mason that created his music magic, to the shirts he wore, Roger Waters’ Fender bass guitar, a massive “The Wall” installation and an enormous replica of The Division Bell.

There’s a lot to take in at the exhibition. The entire time you’re there, you’ll find yourself nonstop saying “wow” and being completely captivated seeing a chronology of Pink Floyd’s unsurpassed, musical influence right before your eyes. As if you weren’t stunned already by all of the great pieces seen in one room, the next continues to impress you even more. Paralleling their music, it’s a never-ending feeling of euphoria when you’re at the Pink Floyd Exhibition. This exhibition makes attendees feel taken over by emotions. Some guests at the opening night were even singing along to Pink Floyd’s concert at the last installation of the exhibit, feeling like they were there live in the presence of the band.
