Football season is in full swing and there’s no better way to celebrate than by tuning in each week to amazing and slime-tastic highlights of the games during Nickelodeon‘s phenomenal series, NFL Slimetime! Hosted by Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan star, Dylan Gilmer (aka Young Dylan) and CBS Sports‘ analyst and former NFL player, Nate Burleson, NFL Slimetime is bringing high-energy recaps of the best game plays while combining the worlds of football and the fan-favorite Nickelodeon animation we all know and love. With extraordinary interviews with skillful NFL athletes conducted by Dylan Schefter and a terrific analyzation of specific players and positions by George Johnston IV, NFL Slimetime is a perfect way for kids and families to get their heads in the game and get ready for the Super Bowl!
NFL Slimetime is jam-packed with a lot of excitement – from Nickelodeon-themed elements and animation on the football field, to special guest appearances by Nickelodeon stars, and so much more.
After discussing all of the action on the field and rewinding to see the “Best Play Ever” (*Cue SpongeBob’s “Best Day Ever” song*), Young Dylan and Nate Burleson pass the ball to George Johnston IV for his very special “George Knows Football” segment. Johnston IV’s love and great passion for football sparked after watching Super Bowl LIII, and the rest is history! Since then, the charming sportscaster has been working hard at researching the games and giving his own insightful knowledge in a historical context. At only eight-years-old, Johnston IV is taking the sports world by storm and he has already become someone that a countless amount of news outlets and hit talk shows turn to for some expert football feedback. The G4 Sports Talk host has even been invited to make appearances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and News 4. With dreams of being a reporter at the Super Bowl, George Johnston IV is well on his way to achieving that goal, and we know that it will happen even faster than he can expect!
Then, it’s time to hear from the players themselves! The outstanding Dylan Schefter has established herself as a superstar journalist. She first won over the hearts of sports enthusiasts at the ripe age of eight-years-old when she interviewed football icon, Tom Brady and Patriots head coach, Bill Belicheck. Her vivacious personality shined and created such a great camaraderie between her and some of the most renowned football players on this planet. On top of her effervescent being, her eloquence and natural prowess on-camera proves she is destined to do big things. Now, Schefter serves as the fantastic NFL Insider in the NFL Slimetime show where she has interviewed incredible football players including Austin Ekeler, Christian Kirk, Mike Evans, Josh Allen, and more. She’s able to get the inside scoop from some of the best in the game and she’s always a pleasure to watch on our screens.
NFL Slimetime truly is a touchdown of a series! It brings together all of our favorite things – football, Nickelodeon’s epicness, talented, young stars like Young Dylan, Dylan Schefter, and George Johnston IV, and a remarkable football pro like Nate Burleson. Grab your favorite football jersey and some Super Bowl snacks, because from now until the big day, NFL Slimetime is bringing all of the football fun to our screens. It’s such a brilliant way for kids and their families to spend time with each other, co-view this excellent show, and see the importance of teamwork and putting in all you got – both on and off the field!
