Article: Bon Jovi Set To Perform And Be Honored At The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards Plus Camila Cabello And Chance The Rapper To Be Awarded At The Event!

The renowned and prestigious 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards is right around the corner and we could only imagine all of the epic and unforgettable moments that will take place at this historic award show. You’ve found out the nominees for this brilliant award show as well as the terrific performers who will be bringing magic onto the iHeartRadio Music Awards stage, and now, we have even more exciting news about this magnificent event! It has just been announced that the legendary, rock icons Bon Jovi will be honored with the iHeartRadio Icon Award at the event. The stupendous band will also be performing at the award show.

According to the press release, “Bon Jovi will receive the first-ever iHeartRadio Icon Award for their global impact on pop culture, longevity, and continued relevance as a touring and radio force with a loyal fan base worldwide. Bon Jovi has sold over 130 million albums and has performed to more than 34 million fans across 50 countries. The Grammy winning band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2018.”

In addition, music sensations Camila Cabello and Chance The Rapper will also be honored at the event with the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award presented by L’Oréal Paris and the iHeartRadio Innovator Award, respectively.

This is the first year that iHeartRadio and L’Oréal Paris will be presenting the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award. Camila Cabello is well-deserving of this award as she has inspired her fans all over the world and proves herself to be one incredible role model who works hard and continues to impact the music world in more ways than imaginable.

“Camila embodies the L’Oréal Paris philosophy, “Because You’re Worth It” demonstrating ambition, passion and a strong sense of self-worth by breaking out on her own with her first solo album, “Camila.” Her No. 1 hit single, “Havana,” topped Billboard’s Pop Songs chart for seven weeks, marking the longest reign of a song by a solo female artist in nearly five years.” (source: press release)

The prolific and GRAMMY award-winning artist, Chance The Rapper will be honored with the iHeartRadio Innovator Award “for his groundbreaking accomplishments in the music industry and his unsurpassable contributions to social causes. As an independent artist, he has risen to the top of hip-hop superstardom and uses his voice to fight for youth empowerment through the arts, education and civic engagement with his non-profit organization, SocialWorks. The multi-faceted artist, activist, actor and entrepreneur is also nominated in the Best Remix category.  Past honorees of the iHeartRadio Innovator Award include Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, U2 and Bruno Mars.” (source: press release)

It’s one of the most highly-anticipated and epic award shows of the year, it’s the renowned and prestigious MTV Video Music Awards! Every single one of MTV’s stupendous award shows always promises an unforgettable time filled with tons of sensational performances, incredible celebrity guests, and moments you’ll never expect. This year, the MTV Video Music Awards is bound to be even bigger and better than ever. Taking place at the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, California on August 27th at 8:00 PM ET / PT, none other than the remarkable, singing phenomenon Katy Perry will be hosting the outstanding award show.

MTV continues to stand out as one phenomenal network that brings excitement to the next level with innovative ways to bring the very best of entertainment to all fans. MTV joined together with several, terrific Instagram stars to help bring out the nominees via Instagram Live – something that hasn’t been done yet at any other award show. Instagram stars Bretman Rock, Ariel Martin (Baby Ariel), DC Young Fly, Andrea Russet, Chantel Jeffries, Ricky Dillon, StassiBaby, Jay Versace and Nate Garner all helped reveal the complete list of nominees.

In addition, MTV is bringing out non-gendered categories at the VMAs, similar to what was done at their MTV Movie & TV Awards. The “Best Female Video” and “Best Male Video” categories have been joined together for the “Artist Of The Year” award.

It was also announced that in addition to hosting, Katy Perry will also be performing at the award show. She shared her excitement about hosting and said, “I’ve been training with MTV in zero gravity, eating astronaut ice cream, and I’m on a group text with Buzz Aldrin and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Come August 27th, I’ll be ready to be your MOONWOMAN! Brace for impact, kids.”

Kendrick Lamar leads the nominees with a total of eight. Host Katy Perry and The Weeknd tied with a total of five nominations each.
