T’was a marvelous night in Hollywood as many spectacular celebrities gathered together for a great cause! November 15, 2018 marked a wonderful day as it was the celebration of the 3rd Annual Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala. Each year, the stupendous Lisa Vanderpump, her husband Ken Todd and her daughter, Pandora Vanderpump host their remarkable Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala – the foundation’s largest fundraiser throughout the year. Vanderpump’s great friends and fellow celebrities enjoy attending the magnificent event and showing their support towards raising funds for dogs in need.

This year’s gala was extra special as it brought these incredible celebrities together and showed their resilience and dedication towards helping a countless amount of precious, furry friends especially during what was a very tough and heart-breaking time for all with the California fires. Lisa Vanderpump and her Vanderpump Dog Foundation work tirelessly to help dogs and put an end to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China. The gala raises funds to assist with the foundation’s day-to-day shelter operation, provide food, medication and bedding for pups, dog training and rehabilitation and many other terrific missions that truly make a difference in the lives of so many dogs. In addition, part of the proceeds from this year’s event was also donated towards dogs who were affected by the wildfires in California.

Guests were able to enjoy delicious champagne and drinks, a scrumptious meal and take part in an auction, where all proceeds are used to help bring extra love and care to dogs. Lisa Vanderpump and the Vanderpump Dog Foundation has and continues to make many awe-inspiring efforts to make this world a better place to live in for all dogs. From creating an outstanding Vanderpump Dog Rescue Center to releasing an eye-opening documentary titled, The Road to Yulin And Beyond, which brings awareness towards the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, those are just some of the many things Lisa Vanderpump and her foundation has worked on to help dogs get the amazing lives they deserve.

The Vanderpump Dog Foundation also made a great impact helping dogs and humans during the California fires. The foundation helped collect supplies for first responders and evacuees and even gathered dog foods and other necessities for dogs who were affected. The Vanderpump Dog Foundation was also able to get many people to help rescue dogs who were in danger and have many volunteers who gave these dogs a safe haven when animal shelters were getting overcrowded. It’s truly inspiring to see how influential this foundation is.

Celebrities including Mario Lopez, Chaz Dean, Leona Lewis, Dr. John Sessa, Reggie Benjamin and Ivana Benjamin, Diane Warren, Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Schwartz, Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Stassi Schroder, Kristen Doute, Scheana Marie and many others had a brilliant time showing their support and attending this year’s phenomenal Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala.

Our pets are way more than just  “pets.” They are our best-friends, our therapists and a big part of our lives. That’s why we absolutely adore wonderful organizations like the Vanderpump Dogs, a charity organization founded by the one and only Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd which makes great efforts to help get amazing pups adopted and help put an end to the barbaric treatment of dogs in the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd and the Vanderpump Dogs organization work hard to bring dogs the loving and caring homes that they deserve. From a luxurious Vanderpump Dogs rescue center to an eye-opening documentary titled, The Road To Yulin… And Beyond, which brings awareness to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, the Vanderpump Dogs organization has and continues to make a big impact in the lives of so many dogs and dog owners.

On May 19, 2018, the Vanderpump Dogs organization hosted its 3rd annual World Dog Day event at the West Hollywood Park in West Hollywood, California. It was a brilliant day for all dog owners who were able to bring their super cute dogs along with them to meet other pups and enjoy fun activations throughout the day. Attendees were able to visit the Vanderpump Dogs stand and check out stylish dog carriers, accessories and toys for their loved one. The Lucy Pet Foundation also offered opportunities for dogs to catch some waves and try out surfing.. yes, you read that right… SURFING!! There was also a fantastic fashion show and “look-a-like” contest that took place. Vanderpump Rules‘ Brittany Cartwright won the contest with her little mini-me in a matching pajama set — it doesn’t get any cuter than that!

Needless to say, the Vanderpump Dogs’ World Dog Day had an endless amount of excitement and wonderful opportunities for dogs and their owners to have the time of their lives. The event was also filled with some exceptional, musical entertainment as well as a magnificent, dog agility park show. The remarkable Lisa Vanderpump also took the stage for a special and touching speech. Lisa Vanderpump is truly admirable and such an inspiring and influential figure. She goes above and beyond to save the lives of so many pups and encourage everyone one of the most important things – adopt, don’t shop. With tons of vendors, food trucks and a lovely day in a Los Angeles park with your doggo, it truly was a splendid and unforgettable day at the World Dog Day event all for a great cause.

Celebrities in attendance at the event included Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd, Lance Bass and Michael Turchin, Leona Lewis, Dr. John Sessa, Camille Grammer, Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, Stassi Schroeder, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney, as well as Teddi Jo Mellencamp, Reggie Benjamin and Iwona Benjamin and many others.

The Vanderpump Dogs organization once again put together a stellar and superb event. It’s a phenomenal event that puts a big smile on everyone’s face – from dogs to human beings. We know the extraordinary Lisa Vanderpump for being a woman who can do it all – she’s a spectacular, television personality, author, restauranteur and the list goes on and on. However, one of Lisa Vanderpump’s most inspiring endeavors yet is her work to help put an end to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and all of the barbaric treatment towards dogs all over the world. Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd and the Executive Director of the Vanderpump Dog Foundation, Dr. John Sessa, held a special premiere of their documentary, The Road to Yulin… and Beyond at the LA Awareness Festival back in October 2017. They were joined by other amazing celebrities including Lisa Rinna, Leona Lewis, Maria Menounos and many others to help bring awareness towards this moving documentary. In fact, The Road to Yulin… and Beyond even won the Audience Choice Award at the event.

It has just been announced that The Road to Yulin… and Beyond has been exclusively released on Prime Video. You can watch this eye-opening documentary by streaming it on Amazon Prime with a Prime subscription or by renting or purchasing the documentary here for those in the US and here for those in the UK.

According to the press release, “The documentary, a first for Vanderpump and her husband Kenneth Todd, covers the last two years of their 501(c)(3) non-profit, The Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s mission trips to China, to expose the torture that occurs during the annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Led by their business partner and the Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. John Sessa, the film gives an in depth look at the dichotomy between the empathetic, companionship-based human/canine relationships exhibited in many countries, and the horrific and brutal interactions that dogs face in parts of the world that have an unrestrained dog meat trade.”

The documentary truly gives people the push to take action and help make this world a better place to live in, especially for the wonderful dogs who make life so much more worth living. The recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills showcased footage from the premiere of The Road to Yulin… and Beyond and was a terrific platform to continue to get the word out about this emotional documentary.

Lisa Vanderpump said, “I am happy that Evolution Media and Bravo have continued to support and follow this journey as we try to put an end to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. With this platform, I hope to not only bring more attention to what is happening in Yulin, but also educate and inspire a new generation to fight this barbaric practice.” (source: press release)

“Our hope for the documentary is to raise global awareness about the important issues it explores. I thank Prime Video for distributing what has been one of the hardest, yet rewarding journeys of my life,” said Dr. John Sessa. (source: press release)

The Road to Yulin… and Beyond is a staggering documentary that evokes change and it shows that if we all join together, we can help stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and give these dogs a loving and caring home.

Be sure to stream, rent or purchase The Road to Yulin… and Beyond out now on Prime Video! Follow the Vanderpump Dogs Foundation on Twitter and Instagram: @VanderpumpDogs
