“The Wind Rises” is recognized as the iconic Hayao Miyazaki’s final feature film. The Studio Ghibli produced film is set to come out in North American theatres on February 21, 2014 and launch world-wide on February 28, 2014.
According to the press release, “In “The Wind Rises,” Jiro dreams of flying and designing beautiful airplanes, inspired by the famous Italian aeronautical designer Caproni. Nearsighted and unable to be a pilot, he becomes one of the world’s most accomplished airplane designers, experiencing key historical events in an epic tale of love, perseverance and the challenges of living and making choices in a turbulent world. The voice cast of the English-language version follows”.
“The Wind Rises” is directed by Gary Rydstrom. “The Wind Rises” has had a masive success in Japan by topping the box office and $120 million mark.
Zach Callison, who voices “Young Jiro” is also in Dreamworks’s “Peabody And Mr. Sherman” and voices “Prince James” in Disney Junior’s highly-acclaimed, Sofia The First and “Steven” in Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe.
