Starting her career in the entertainment business as an actress and singer at a very young age, Raquel Castro continues to build up a more impressive resume with her accomplishments! Raquel Castro was a familiar face on NBC’s first season of “The Voice” where she joined forces and was mentored by the consummate musician- Christina Aguilera! Raquel Castro is also known for her lead role in the movie, “Jersey Girl” where she shared the screen with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.
The lovely Raquel Castro showcased her great vocals and dance moves during her performance at the fantastic Pop Explosion concert in NYC at the Gramercy Theatre on March 2, 2013; and truly showed her talent as an excellent and charming entertainer! Raquel Castro: I always do vocal warm-ups, just kind of get in my head, go over my dance moves; and really say my prayers, hope for a good show and just get my energy pumped up for the crowd!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Definitely! So, can you tell us who some of your musical inspirations are?
Raquel Castro: Christina Aguilera, who I was on her team for “The Voice” is one of my big inspirations. Beyonce is also a very big inspiration to me!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Interesting! Full of girl-power charisma! Raquel Castro: Yes! Love the girl-power!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Yes! So can you tell us some upcoming projects you’re working on that your fans can look forward to?
Raquel Castro: I’ve been writing a lot of music, I’ve been working on an album; so we haven’t found any record labels yet, so we’re kind of just hanging low; and behind the scenes and just getting the album ready, getting my sound together, so that’s really what I’m working on right now!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: So all your fans can look forward to that, we can’t wait to hear your album, of course! Raquel Castro: Thank you!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Speaking of your fans, if you could bring out one message to all of them watching right now, what message would that be?
Raquel Castro: Just really stay positive and if you have a dream, whether it’s anything, a big dream, a small dream; always go for your dreams and never let anyone hold you back and never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, you have to believe in yourself, if you want other people to believe in you!
