Whether they be in the recording studio or performing live on stage; brother/sister duo- Brandon & Savannah always continue to impress their fans. Brandon & Savannah not only excel in singing, but they also write and co-produce all of their own music and are both so musically inclined! Having an inborn talent for the world of music, Brandon & Savannah are naturals to the stage and love to engage with their fans through their music! Brandon & Savannah have performed on Marie Osmond’s show, “Marie”, the Hollywood Christmas Parade, the Young Artist Awards, and many more including the fantastic Pop Explosion NYC concert I covered! It’s also been reported that Brandon & Savannah are in the works of their own docu-series! How cool?!
I, Alexisjoyvipaccess chatted with Brandon & Savannah backstage before their performance at the Pop Explosion concert at the Gramercy Theatre, NYC on March 2, 2013. Savannah: Wow! Ever since I was really, really little I like to listen to like all the best of every genre; but the few people that actually really like helped me with my career and helped me be the person I am are Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand. I listen to their videos and their music over and over and try to copy their voices, trying to get all the skills they have.
Brandon: It kind of makes us who we are as artists because she was more into the classical, vocal performance music and I was raised on classic rock; and my dad raised me on listening to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Aerosmith, all these guys and that influenced my music; and so when we came together as brother/sister, and we kinda joined styles in a cool little mash-up!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Excellent! So you guys have been performing a lot, all over; what is the experience like for you performing in front of your fans?
Savannah: Performing is such a hype for us, like it’s so incredible! We love performing, we love seeing fans and people get to know our music and love our music; so just the whole experience, the whole journey is such an incredible thing that you just have to step back and just be like, “Wow! Look what I’m doing!”.
Brandon: It’s been surreal! Performing, entertaining and writing music is our passion all in all; so doing what we do everyday it’s just really a blessing; and to see people enjoy our music and see people sing along to the words, it’s just crazy; so it’s been very cool!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Yes! Great! So can you tell us some upcoming projects you guys are working on?
Savannah: We’re actually going on tour with… Brandon: R5! Yeah! Savannah: R5 from Disney Channel! We’re really, really excited, it’s going to be an incredible tour!! Alexisjoyvipaccess: Wow!! Brandon: It’s awesome! Sold-out shows, it’s going to be really, really cool! Savannah: Sold-out shows! Going all around, everywhere!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Well I hope to see you guys on that tour! I’m gonna definitely go! Savannah: Yeah!! Brandon: Come by, we’ll have a party!! Alexisjoyvipaccess: Yeah, definitely!!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: So lastly, if you could bring out one message to all your fans watching, what message would that be?
Brandon: I would like to say, no matter how many times you are discouraged, or put down, to always move forward stay focused on your goals in the long run. We’ve been turned down a lot by a lot of people who didn’t see the bigger picture and it’s just a blessing to do what we do everyday; so stay faithful and stay true to yourself and keep moving forward!
