The orange carpet was rolled out, the coveted blimps were handed out and one of the most legendary nights in award show history took place on March 28, 2015: the one, the only Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards! Nickelodeon is known for making masterpieces – from its brilliant and creative TV shows to of course, its slime filled award ceremonies; and another thing Nickelodeon is known for is putting smiles on everyone’s faces. No matter what age you may be – Nickelodeon appeals to all ages and can brighten up a person’s day no matter what. History was made on March 28, 2015 as the multi-talented and consummate musician / actor, Nick Jonas took on the stage to host the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards at the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, California. Nick Jonas mesmerized everyone with his awe-inspiring opening performance of his hit tracks “Chains” and “Jealous” and also added some slime fun as he drank a cup of slime! The outstanding Iggy Azalea “wowed” the crowd with her indescribable performance of her latest track “Trouble” with Jennifer Hudson and sensation, 5 Seconds of Summer closed out the one of a kind award show with an incredible performance of their song “What I Like About You” and it looks like what they like is loads and loads of slime!

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is all about the kids’ choice so this year, Nickelodeon opened up even more opportunities for fans to have their voices heard by giving everyone all across the world the opportunity to vote for their favorites to win a coveted Nickelodeon blimp across 21 categories on Nick.com and even by tweeting.

According to the press release, “This year’s Kids’ Choice Awards proved to be as messy as ever, from Jennifer Lopez presenting Jonas with his award and a surprise sliming; to the Favorite Family TV Show stars of Modern Family getting doused in goo; Jonas chugging a mug of slime in a “Dare or Dare” slime challenge; and a backstage pie fight between Chris Pratt and the cast of Henry Danger.

The stars of The Thundermans cleaned up the special live vote during the show, which garnered over 7 million votes.  They beat out the casts of Bella and the Bulldogs and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and received the deluxe treatment from the first-ever human slime car wash complete with conveyer, spinning brushes, swinging flaps, spraying nozzles and, of course, tons of slime.”
Nickelodeon always manages to make the Kids Choice Awards more and more phenomenal as the years go by and the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards was like no other and left everyone speechless. Kids, teenagers, and adults all joined together to watch this highly-anticipated night in Hollywood history as celebrities like Angelina Jolie Pitt, Liam Hemsworth and Nick Jonas took home awards. The Kids’ Choice Awards was filled with a star-studded attendees list including Nick Jonas, Nick Cannon, Jamie Foxx, Liam Hemsworth, Fifth Harmony, Zendaya, the casts of Nickelodeon shows including The Thundermans, Every Witch Way, The Haunted Hathaways and more!
