Disney always has a lot of excitement for their fans, and fans can now look forward to a new, magical show on Disney Junior titled “Elena Of Avalor”. Deadline.com announced today the cast-members who will be joining the “Elena Of Avalor” cast and will be lending their voice to various characters on the animated show. “Elena Of Avalor” will be a spin-off series from Disney Junior’s highly-acclaimed and award-winning animated series, “Sofia The First”. According to Deadline.com, the princess will be the “… first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore”.
A big congratulations is in store for Jenna Ortega and Jillian Rose Reed amongst many other talented individuals as they have joined the cast of the animated show. Jenna Ortega will voice the role of Princess Isabel and the animated show is set to premiere sometime this year.
Jenna Ortega wrote along with a photo she shared through her Instagram account, “So excited to be part of this project Thanks for believing in me @disneyjunior @ctcvo #elenaofavalor“.
Jillian Rose Reed tweeted:
Deadline.com describe the plot of the show and stated, “Elena’s journey began long ago when her parents and kingdom were taken from her by the evil sorceress Shuriki. She bravely faced the sorceress to protect her little sister, Princess Isabel (Ortega), and grandparents but in the process, her magical amulet pulled her inside its enchanted jewel, saving her life but imprisoning her at the same time. Decades later, Princess Sofia of Enchancia discovers the truth about the amulet she has worn since joining her royal family and sets out to restore Elena to her human form and help her return to the kingdom of Avalor.”
Chris Parnell, Yvette Nicole Brown, Carlos Alazraqui, Emiliano Díez, Julia Vera, Christian Lanz, Joseph Haro, Jorge Diaz, Keith Ferguson and Joe Nunez are all a part of the cast as well.
