One of the most popular, top-ranked, and highly-acclaimed weight-loss shows has just recently come back to our TV screens with its 17th season and viewers continue to be captivated by the remarkable and inspiring show, “The Biggest Loser”. The past back-to-back episodes that premiered on January 11th had a lot of excitement, a lot of challenges, a lot of tension, and a lot of resistance towards the contestants’ temptations; and the episodes yet again continued to leave viewers at the edge of their seats rooting for all of the contestants.
The episodes featured contestants using their nutrition knowledge to help win a trivia challenge about unhealthy food. The contestants had to put their knowledge to the test as the winning team got to choose a member from the opposing team to sit out during the weigh-in. The contestants then had an eye-opening meeting with Dr. Huizenga that illustrated the drastic effects that result from the food choices people make. The episodes also included some tension between trainer and team and in the second episode, contestants were put to another tough challenge. “Teamwork makes the dreamwork” was truly evident in the second “The Biggest Loser” episode that aired on Monday, January 11th as the teams had to pull food-trucks and whichever team won got a healthy cooking lesson from renowned chef Lorena Garcia. The losing team, on the other hand, were challenged even more to eat from the food trucks and resist their temptations by having to choose from the limited healthy food options available for them. Host Bob Harper also introduced an exciting new segment called “Last Chance Challenges”.
It’s clear to see that NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” continues to leave fans mesmerized and waiting for next week’s episode to see what other challenges awaits for the incredible contestants who are working hard to live a healthier life.
