In just a few more months, the world’s first and largest online video conference will be making its way to the Anaheim Convention Center on June 23 – 25, 2016; and the excitement continues to grow daily as we get closer and closer to the renowned and prestigious 2016 Vidcon event. With thousands and thousands of some of your favorite YouTube sensations and online video creators, fans, and industry professionals all under one roof, Vidcon 2016 is bound to be even bigger, better and more epic than ever!
Vidcon just announced today that the one and only YouTube will be its title sponsor for the fourth year in a row. According to the press release, “As the largest gathering of our fans, creators and stars, every year VidCon provides us an opportunity to come together and celebrate the success of the YouTube universe.” said Danielle Tiedt, Chief Marketing Officer of YouTube. “We’re excited to be title sponsors this year as VidCon prepares to make the seventh gathering the biggest and best ever.” The press release also mentioned, “YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, has supported VidCon as the title sponsor since the 2013 event, and has worked closely with VidCon to bring a dynamic atmosphere to all facets of the growing convention.”
Vidcon is one stupendous and extraordinary event that celebrates the success of online video making as well as its future. Having covered Vidcon for two years in a row, I can say that it is one remarkable event that allows attendees to create memories that will last a lifetime. Attendees are able to meet their favorite online video creators, attend panels, meet new friends who share the same interest as them, as well as check out the many incredible booths present from all of the amazing sponsors.
Hank Green, CEO of Vidcon stated, “YouTube really gets how wonderful and special its community and creators are and they’ve always been one of the most supportive platforms on the internet. I’ve seen this as a creator, and I see it as the CEO of VidCon. It’s great to have them back again, helping us put on the best show possible.” (source: press release)
