After watching the first season of NickSports’ incredible and inspiring show, Soccer Superstar, we were all truly left in awe with the determination and passion for soccer that these admirable teen girls had as the search went on for the best teen female soccer player. Well, get ready to make a goal as Nickelodeon announced the sensational news of a season two pick-up for Soccer Superstar. Three-time Olympic gold medalist Heather Mills will be returning as the host for the remarkable reality competition series, which is based on the award-winning series, Football Superstar. The show will also have three magnificent judges including National Soccer Hall of Famer Marcelo Balboa, two-time Olympic gold medalist Angela Hucles and youth development expert Dan Metcalfe.
Production on Soccer Superstar‘s six, half-hour long episodes will begin this month with a set premiere for this summer during Nicktoons’ NickSports TV block. Yesterday, February 8, 2016, Soccer Superstar held its first showcase at FC Dallas GOAL Week in Dallas, Texas. The next showcases are set to take place in Tampa, Florida on February 20, in Denver, Colorado on February 27, and in San Diego, California on March 5. The top three players from each of the showcases will join together in LA as each of them try to win the title of Soccer Superstar.
