This season of “The Biggest Loser” was filled with a lot of new things that made the season even more captivating. This season included a new logo, an updated gym, and a new host, none other than the remarkable Bob Harper, who has served as a trainer on “The Biggest Loser” for the past sixteen seasons of the show. Bob Harper brought a lot of new excitement to the show including his Last Chance Challenges. This season of “The Biggest Loser” also had a new theme, “Temptation Nation,” in which contestants found themselves resisting all types and forms of temptations from food to digital distractions and more. Of course, viewers looked forward to each episode, especially “The Biggest Loser” make-over episode which included the renowned Tim Gunn and Ken Paves.
In the past “The Biggest Loser” episode that aired on Monday, February 15th, viewers found out the two contestants who secured their spots as finalists for the season finale of “The Biggest Loser”. In the live season finale that aired on February 22nd, the final three contestants: Roberto Hernandez, Stephen Kmet and Colby Wright, were faced with a twist that raised the stakes even higher during the finale – the finalists were given one more temptation of choosing to get a $50,000 prize but with that comes a 3-pound disadvantage during the weigh-in and a possibility of not winning the title of “The Biggest Loser”. Colby Wright took the $50,000 temptation and got third place in the show while Stephen Kmet was announced as the runner up. All of the sixteen contestants reunited during the finale and were weighed once more and the winner of $100,000 and the “at home” prize was announced as being Luis Hernandez. Then, viewers and everyone on “The Biggest Loser” were able to celebrate as Roberto Hernandez was announced as the season 17 winner of “The Biggest Loser” and the winner of the $250,000 prize.
