“I want everyone to leave tonight with a smile on their face.” – Hoodie Allen
That is exactly what happened last night, March 22, 2016 as singing sensation Hoodie Allen showed NYC what it really is like to be the “City That Never Sleeps” with his sold-out concert at the Webster Hall. If you were by E. 11th Street last night, you were one of two people: waiting for one of the greatest nights of your life or a passerby wondering what the pandemonium outside was being caused by. Whichever person you were, you would’ve noticed the line that wrapped and wrapped and wrapped around some more around the block as people waited to enter into the extraordinary Hoodie Allen’s last concert of his “Happy Camper Tour”. With it being the last performance on his current tour (and what better place to do it than his very own hometown of New York?), Hoodie Allen definitely made history with his sensational performance.
Starting off the concert was Hoodie Allen’s two excellent, opening acts: Gnash and SuperDuperKyle with SuperDuperBrick. They all started off the concert in such a fantastic way and got everyone pumped for the incredible night.
After being in awe with just how great the two previous performances were by Gnash and SuperDuperKyle with SuperDuperBrick, the one and only, stupendous Hoodie Allen had everyone screaming at the top of their lungs and feeling full of energy as he came on stage ready to give everyone one of the most unforgettable performances. Right away, Hoodie Allen brought the excitement of everyone to a different level as he performed so many of his hit songs. Then again, all of the multi-talented Hoodie Allen’s songs are massive hits amongst any and all age groups. Hoodie Allen performed his songs including “Small Town,” “All About It,” “No Faith In Brooklyn,” and many more songs off of his new “Happy Camper” album.
Some musicians just perform, not Hoodie Allen! He performed and gave everyone a phenomenal experience. The sensational Hoodie Allen made everyone feel special that night as he not only performed on stage, but even performed all the way in the back so the people who were in the back were able to see Hoodie Allen “front row”. Hoodie Allen also threw out shirts to fans and made everyone feel as though it was their birthday as he threw one frosting filled cake out to the crowd. Not only that, Hoodie Allen even brought his friend, special guest and the amazing musician, MAX who performed his song “Gibberish” featuring Hoodie Allen.
Needless to say, Hoodie Allen’s concert at the Webster Hall was one word: epic. Hoodie Allen is such a gifted performer who manages to bring out some of the most exceptional music to all of his fans. He even brought out some special news that he is already working on another excellent album after the success of his “Happy Camper” album released in January, and he will be going on another upcoming tour with not just one, not just two, but three Webster Hall dates!
Despite all of his success, Hoodie Allen remains so genuine and appreciative towards his fans. Aside from giving them one outstanding concert and recognizing both new and old fans alike, Hoodie Allen even took time to sign items at his merch table prior to his concert and even crowd-surfed during the show – talk about an action-packed concert!
With so many more awesome projects in store for his fans, Hoodie Allen definitely made everyone feeling like a “Happy Camper” after his memorable Webster Hall performance.
