Grab your soccer ball and get ready for an all new, exciting, and adrenaline-packed season of Nickelodeon’s spectacular, sports reality competition series, Soccer Superstar. After the several showcases that took place all across the nation, the 12 talented, skillful and determined, teen female soccer players have been chosen to take on several challenges and work their way to becoming the next Soccer Superstar. Soccer Superstar is returning with its highly-anticipated, second season which is set to premiere on July 15th at 10:00 PM ET / PT during the Nicktoons’ NickSports TV block. The show will air back-to-back premieres every Friday for three weeks in July. Gold medalist Heather Mitts is returning to host the second season.

According to the press release, “Soccer Superstar follows a squad of 12 teen female soccer players, assembled after nationwide tryouts, as they compete in challenges on and off the field and face elimination by an acclaimed panel of judges: National Soccer Hall of Famer Marcelo Balboa; gold medalist Angela Hucles; and youth soccer development expert Dan Metcalfe.  The players are judged on their performances in training, competitive games and various challenges including penalty kicks, bulls eye accuracy, crossbar, surfing and hip-hop dancing.

Soccer Superstar brings viewers right on the field with the 12 teen female soccer players as we see them exhibit their awe-inspiring soccer skills to win the title of Soccer Superstar and even meet and train with a National Women’s Soccer League team.
