What are some ways you can be a good friend? It’s always a wonderful thing to be a loyal, supportive, and fantastic friend and to lend a helping hand out to others. Every year, Skechers and The Friendship Foundation joins together to host a spectacular and fun-filled day for families and everyone of all ages to enjoy at the magnificent Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk, which helps children with special needs and helps benefit education. It’s a phenomenal event for a great cause that garners tons of people to walk from pier to pier, listen to great music, and make marvelous memories.

At the most recent Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk, a total of $1,600,000 was raised. Many terrific celebrities came out to show their support towards the remarkable event including Sugar Ray Leonard, Brooke Burke, Denise Austin, Cree Cicchino, Jacob Hopkins, Terrell Ransom Jr, Riele and Reiya Downs, Aidan Miner, Lance Lim, Melissa Carcache, Benjamin and Matthew Royer and many more. The multi-talented Asia Monet Ray gave a breathtaking performance at the event and boy band New District also had an excellent performance.

Skechers had a very special Friendship Walk Check Presentation event on March 2, 2017 at the Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach, California to celebrate the great success of this past year’s friendship walk. Fitness guru Denise Austin was in attendance at the event along with actors Matthew and Benjamin Royer.

The Skechers Pier to Pier Walk wrote along with a photo shared through their Instagram account, “Last night we celebrated the success of the 2016 SKECHERS Friendship Walk by presenting $1,600,000 in donations to 7 organizations. We’re so thankful for our sponsors, celebrity ambassadors, community leaders and walkers. It’s amazing to see our South Bay community come together for one common purpose – to create a better future for our children. See everyone on Oct. 29th!! #skechers #skechersp2pwalk #education.”
