Our fave turtles are making their way back to our TV screens and we all couldn’t be anymore excited. Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael are back for more crazy adventures and balancing between villains and allies with an all new, highly-anticipated fifth season premiere of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on March 19th at 9:00 AM ET / PT on Nickelodeon. Every episode of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is always bound to leave you at the edge of your seat with excitement and this season has even more in store, including a bunch of exciting special guests! Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will continue to air the rest of its new episodes on Sundays at 9:00 AM ET / PT on Nickelodeon.

In the season premiere, Star Wars‘ very own Mark Hamill will guest-star and voice the role of Kavaxas. According to the press release, “In the premiere episode, “Scroll of the Demodragon,” Mark Hamill (Star Wars) guest stars as Kavaxas, a hotheaded dragon man with mystical powers, who partners with some of the Turtles’ worst foes to bring chaos to New York City.  In the episode, the Turtles believe they have defeated their old enemies, but they soon discover a new evil is rising. Hamill lends his voice as the villainous Kavaxas during the next three premiere episodes.”

More outstanding, special guests will be joining in on the TMNT fun including “Chris Sarandon (The Princess Bride) as Count Vlad Dracula, the lord of the vampires; Graham McTavish (The Hobbit trilogy) as Savanti Romero, an evil time master from the future; Dana DeLorenzo (Ash vs. Evil Dead) as Esmeralda, a kind and weary Romanian traveler with an expert knowledge of monsters; Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Revenge) as Sumo Kuma, a fierce and cunning Samurai commander; and Nyambi Nyambi (Mike & Molly) as Verminator Rex, the vicious leader of a gang.” (source: press release)

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are truly iconic and have made a big impact in the lives of many. Previous generations and our current generation are able to join together over their shared love of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Well, TMNT fans, there is even more great news for you! Nickelodeon recently announced at its annual Upfront Presentation in New York City on March 2, 2017 that the network will be releasing a brand new, animated show with a working title of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That means we all will be getting a whole lot more of our favorite turtles on our TV screens!

According to the press release, “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will follow Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo on all-new adventures as they seek to unlock the mystical secrets of New York City.  From the tallest skyscraper to the dankest sewer drain, the Turtles will encounter absurd new mutants and battle bizarre creatures all while enjoying their favorite slice of pizza. Tapping into mystic, ninja powers they never knew existed, the four brothers must learn to work together and navigate the perils of the modern age and hidden realms in order to fulfill their destiny to become a team of heroes.”
