We’ve all read The Handmaid’s Tale at least once, and it’s one of those stories that is so incredibly captivating that you’ll need to read it again and again and again. Needless to say, when news was brought out that this iconic book will be readapted into a show on Hulu, we all couldn’t contain our excitement to see how this stupendous story written by the legendary author, Margaret Atwood would make its transition into a series. Well, the transition was seamless and it’s clear to see why Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale has already become a massive hit amongst all viewers with today being the first day of its release on the video on demand service.

A story that is over 30 years old and yet it still stands the test of time. The Handmaid’s Tale takes place in a dystopian future where women have little to no rights and those that are fertile are assigned as being “handmaids” and used for their reproductivity. The Handmaid’s Tale chronicles the struggles that these women undergo, especially one in specific who narrates the story named, Offred.

The Handmaid’s Tale is a show that you won’t be able to stop watching. The cast is filled with some of the most profound and highly-acclaimed actresses and actors including Elisabeth Moss, who plays the role of Offred, Alexis Bledel, Samira Wiley, Yvonne Strahovski, Joseph Fiennes, Max Minghella, and O-T Fagbenle, who have all done such an awe-inspiring and brilliant job bringing this story to life. Margaret Atwood truly brought out one of the most thought-provoking, eye-opening novels this world has ever seen, and these actors and actresses have done such an exceptional job showing how a story published 30 years ago is still so relevant today.

This show is certainly one that everyone needs to watch. You will be mesmerized with the incredible and indescribable acting skills of all of the cast-members and how they evoke such a tremendous amount of emotion in each and every scene. The cinematography of the show is superb and if we had to describe The Handmaid’s Tale using only one word (which is almost impossible to do as there are a countless amount of ways to describe a show as magnificent as this one), we would definitely say that the word that suits it best is… breathtaking.

The Handmaid’s Tale had its special Los Angeles premiere yesterday, April 25, 2017 at the Arclight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California. The extraordinary cast-members of the show as well as the spectacular author, Margaret Atwood were all in attendance at the show’s premiere to celebrate the special day. The Handmaid’s Tale both in the form of a book and in the form of a show is truly a sensational masterpiece and there is no question as to why this show has and continues to be a terrific trending topic on all social media networks.

I, Alexisjoyvipaccess had a wonderful time attending The Handmaid’s Tale premiere and after-party held at the Hollywood Athletic Club. The after-party continued off the marvelous night with a photo-booth, an area where you can get some The Handmaid’s Tale inspired shirts and bags created right on the spot, delicious food and drinks and a good ‘ol time to top off the incredible premiere night. I was left speechless with just how remarkable the show is and I definitely recommend everyone to go watch it now on Hulu.
