If we could time-travel back to any time period, it would definitely have to be the 80’s – we’d hang out with some epic rockstars, wear all of the awesome 80’s clothing and jam out to all of the classic 80’s songs. Well, we all were able to take a step back in time as renowned 80’s rockstars as well as musicians from this generation joined together at the incredible, music-filled Strange 80’s event that took place on May 14th at The Fonda Theatre. Not only was the remarkable event filled with tons of stellar performances, but the best part about it is that all of the proceeds from the concert went to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which helps provide financial assistance to musicians and those in the music industry that need help due to illness, disability, or age-related problems.

The phenomenal event featured terrific performances from Tenacious D, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and Sarah Silverman, as well as performances from members of bands including OK Go, Taking Back Sunday, Velvet Revolver, Steel Panther, Filter, Anberlin, Goldfinger, Sugarcult, Anthrax, Precious Kid, Filter, and Honey Honey.

These extraordinary performers had a brilliant time bringing out their own renditions of some 80’s classics. From covers of Prince to Kim Wilde and many other 80’s musicians, the Strange 80’s performers had everyone up on their feet rocking out to all of the exceptional performances and enjoying the great nostalgia of one of the greatest decades ever.

The iconic Scott Ian of Anthrax shared the stage with his wife, Pearl ADay at the event. Scott Ian posted the excellent photo as seen below on his Instagram account and wrote, “The Strange 80’s show was a blast! @pearlcaliforniacountry and @coreytaylor nailed the Prince songs. A Prince cover show for my birthday? Who’s in? And I got to play my Duo Jet! @officialgretsch.”

Many other outstanding celebrities were present at the event who are immensely talented stars in both the worlds of acting and music. Finn Wolfhard, star of the fan-favorite Netflix show, Stranger Things hosted the Strange 80s event. The day was an especially exciting one for Finn Wolfhard as he also had his first ever performance with his band, Calpurnia, at the event which truly left everyone in awe.

Finn Wolfhard shared the great photo as seen below through his Instagram account of himself and his band on the red carpet of the event.
