I, Alexisjoyvipaccess had the honor of interviewing the remarkable Carolyn Hennesy. Carolyn Hennesy talked exclusively with Alexisjoyvipaccess about how the Nutrient Body Sculpt has helped improve her lifestyle, what her reaction was like when she won her first Emmy award, what it has been like for her working on the Gilmore Girls revival series on Netflix and so much more only in our VIPAccessEXCLUSIVE interview. Check out my interview with Carolyn Hennesy below! Thanks for the stellar interview, Carolyn!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You are one of the most prolific individuals on this planet. We love watching you on General Hospital. Can you tell us what it has been like for you working on this masterpiece of a show for so many years and what it’s like seeing your character evolve over all of the seasons?
Carolyn Hennesy: Diane Miller is pure fun. True, she finds herself in a wide variety of interesting situations with some of the most formidable characters on the General Hospital canvas, but that’s part of the joy of playing her. I often don’t know where Diane is going to end up at any particular moment. I credit Bob Guza with really seeing the potential in Diane and taking her from “the lawyer” to a fully-fleshed out larger-than-life (sometimes) personality. He started the evolution of Diane and almost all of the head writers over the ensuing years have taken her and run. The most exciting moments, though, are those when Diane gets to drop the veil and let her vulnerable side come through. That’s very tasty.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You’re also in the Gilmore Girls revival series titled, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. What was it like for you working on this fan-favorite show and bringing it back to life?
Carolyn Hennesy: As I have said elsewhere, I was quite probably the only person on the planet who had not followed the series when it originally aired, so I wasn’t truly aware of the iconic status it had attained. Now, of course, I’m in love with all the residents of Stars Hollow. I was beyond fortunate to work with theeeee Kelly Bishop and that alone was worth it. She’s just one of the greatest dames, in the best sense of the word, I’ve encountered in this profession…a walking master class.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You also were just recently awarded with an Emmy for your work on The Bay. Congratulations on the well-deserved award. What was your reaction like when you were honored with the prestigious award?
Carolyn Hennesy: Time ground down to a paint-drying pace and I found myself sounding out the syllables of my name, slowly, as they were being said and thinking, “‘Car’…hey, that sounds like the first syllable of MY name and ‘o’…well, that’s the second syllable of MY name”…and on from there. It took me a long moment to realize that they called me.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You’ve also been sharing your experiences with a procedure known as the Nutrient Body Sculpt. Can you tell us a little bit more about that?
Carolyn Hennesy: I have been exposed to a number of “latest and greatest” things in my life…and many products have asked that I speak for them. I’ve learned the hard way that not all is always as it seems. A friend, knowing my stress level can peak into the red at times, recommended Nutrient Body Sculpt to me when I learned I would be hosting for NATAS on Facebook Live. They had great results and felt I would as well. I’m actually rather grateful to them that they insisted. Nutrient Body Sculpt doesn’t claim to be a weight loss product but I did lose a bit of weight; the real benefit to me is a boost in energy and my body responded in an interesting way. My body felt less inflamed…which I can tell simply by the way I can now move in trapeze class. My body feels more fluid and there’s almost no pain in my joints. My muscles seem to heal from soreness much faster. I’ve also found everyday energy has increased.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You’ve said that the Nutrient Body Sculpt has helped improve your life – why would you recommend this procedure to other individuals and fans?
Carolyn Hennesy: I don’t know a single individual who isn’t dealing with stress…in my opinion, it’s the number one killer because so much stems from it. The Nutrient Body Sculpt procedure, discovered and refined by Meggie Jones, a former hospice caregiver, and Dr. Prasad, a leading expert in antioxidant research, focuses on wrapping the body with special “bandages” soaked in a micronutrients and a mineral-rich solution. Most wraps are sweat loss but not Nutrient Body Sculpt; on the contrary; it hydrates the body with micro-nutrients. The first time I tried it, I was physically euphoric and the benefits continued even after the session. They train existing spas and clinics across the country who want to carry their line.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You also recently came out with your very own app, can you tell us a little bit more about it and the inspiration behind creating the app?
Carolyn Hennesy: I won an app…can you believe it!? Won it at a bingo game. The app designer/creator, David Afana (Afana Enterprises,) was so patient while I tried to decide what to base this app upon. Some ideas were way too complicated, so we simply decided to create something where my fans and I could keep in closer touch. There are fabulous features such a “brutal advice” from me, a “find my car” button and a link to my online store. I feature products that make my life easier and the aim is to make everyone’s life a little simpler, less expensive and better. And you can find it straight through the app…look for imjustsayin’ in the app store!
Alexisjoyvipaccess: In addition to being a remarkable actress, you’re also a profound writer and author. Can you tell us what inspired you to focus your life around writing in addition to acting? Do you think writing helps influence your acting and vice versa?
Carolyn Hennesy: I was challenged to write a novel in six weeks and accepted. During the course of this experience I realized that I had something more profound and important to say…something beside telling the tale of a trio of young girls on a deadly quest. I wanted to express my thoughts about the making of an individual’s character. The forming of a moral compass and the idea that taking personal responsibility for one’s actions can sometimes lead you on the adventure of a lifetime. Certainly, my writing influences my acting and vice-versa. It’s all drawn from the same well of experience and knowledge…the more you fill the well, the more you can draw from it for anything you attempt.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You also are a celebrity ambassador for the inspiring foundation, Breaking The Chains. Can you tell us a little bit more about your work with the extraordinary foundation?
Carolyn Hennesy: Debra Hopkins, the founder of Breaking The Chains, is such an extraordinary woman; she’s taken on the Herculean task of trying to take the stigma out of eating disorders. You would think this would be terribly easy, right? I mean, after all, there’s not a person I know who doesn’t have some issue, large or small, with food. Since, unlike alcohol or drugs, food is something none of us can live without, it stands to reason that something all of us must regard in our lives would have less judgement surrounding the inevitable abuses. Wrong. For some reason, food issues are judged far more harshly and have therefore stayed hidden in deeper places for much longer. This organization is bringing all of these infinitely varied manifestations of this illness into bright light charging that we must all begin to understand because we all suffer.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Lastly, if you could bring out one message to all of your fans, what message would that be?
Carolyn Hennesy: Your job in life is to be happy. Be happy and you make everybody else’s life easier…including your own.
