It’s the one film that will touch your heart in a way like no other. It’s the incredible movie that will make you go after your dreams no matter what kind of obstacles may come your way. It’s the phenomenal film, Patti Cake$! We all have dreams of our own, as for Patti Dombrowski, aka Killa P, aka Patti Cake$, her number one goal is to be the most popular rapper in the industry and follow after the footsteps of her favorite rap star, O-Z.

However, Patti’s journey to fame sure isn’t an easy one. Patti, her mom and her grandma have been burdened with several, unpaid bills that’s causing Patti to search for another way to make a living. On top of that, she has to deal with all of the haters who think that their words can put Patti down – let’s just say, they should think again. With the help of her Nana, her best-friend, and a creative and mysterious musician, Patti is able to kickstart her passion of making music and turn that dream of being a renowned rapper into a reality.

Patti Cake$ is definitely a movie that everyone can resonate with. We all have something that we aspire to be and the trials and tribulations that we must go through to get where we want to be is what makes the journey all the more worth it. Patti Cake$ has many heart-tugging moments and the movie does such a brilliant job in allowing us all to feel like we are right by Patti’s side as she does everything she can to make an everlasting mark in the music world.

All of the scenes in Patti Cake$ are truly captivating and will flood you with a host of emotions. In addition to the remarkable cinematography, the music featured in the movie is sensational. It’s super catchy and it enhances the already magnificent film even more. After watching Patti Cake$, you’ll definitely want to pick up Patti’s mix-tape. The whole cast of the exceptional movie: Danielle Macdonald (who stars as the one and only, Patti), Bridgett Everett, Siddharth Dhananjay, Mamoudou Athie, and Cathy Moriarty all did such a phenomenal job bringing this story to life and it’s certainly a spectacular movie we all can watch over and over again. 

I, Alexisjoyvipaccess had such an excellent time attending the special screening of Patti Cake$ on August 7, 2017 and I was left in awe with the incredible job that the whole cast and crew did on this film. There’s no question as to why this movie has won multiple awards and is a fan-favorite at all of the movie festivals it has been screened at including at the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals. The Patti Cake$ special screening also had a super fun after-party at the Luchini Pizzeria in Los Angeles, California. Needless to say, Patti Cake$ is definitely a movie everyone needs to see right now!
