“You don’t need lipstick, lipstick needs you.” You know what’s the most beautiful thing in this world? Read the first word of that sentence. Beauty comes in all different shapes and forms and that’s exactly what was celebrated at the incredible and fabulous, two-day Beautycon LA festival. Beautycon is a spectacular festival that has made a great impact both nationally and internationally. With festivals that have taken place in Los Angeles, New York, London, Dubai, and beyond – each festival celebrates beauty within, fashion and amazing, makeup trends. Beautycon has clearly been having a lot of marvelous successes and this year’s Beautycon LA was definitely bigger and better than years before. With its first two-day festival, the 2017 Beautycon LA had even more celebrities, influencers, brands and excellent, makeup enthusiasts who were all able to connect at the terrific event.
The sensational Beautycon LA festival took place on Saturday, August 12th and Sunday, August 13th and both days were filled with tons of unforgettable highlights, awesome, beauty tips and tricks, and tons of makeup fanatics that had a wonderful time celebrating Beautycon’s main message that “Everyone is beautiful and beauty is power.” As soon as you stepped inside the LA Convention Center, where Beautycon was held, you would have been in beauty, fashion and makeup heaven with all of the brilliant brands and fan-favorite companies that were present at the event.
Maybelline was present at the event promoting their brand new Maybelline x Shayla collection. CND Vinylux gave Beautycon attendees a special treat with some fabulous manicures that shined extra bright with sparkles. Other brands and companies that had a big presence at Beautycon LA include Chapstick, Grande Cosmetics, L’Oreal, NYX, PrettyLittleThing, Revlon, Wet ‘N Wild, Wildflower, Redken, LipSmacker, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Jay Manuel Beauty, and many more.
Day 1 of Beautycon LA kicked off in a wonderful way. Beautycon LA attendees were left in awe with a special appearance by the beauty icon herself, Ms. Tyra Banks. In addition, queen Zendaya had a fantastic time meeting all of her fans at the event. Celebrities that attended Beautycon Day 1 include Laverne Cox, Willow Shields, Jay Manuel, Alisha Marie, Amber Rose, Ireland Baldwin, Larsen Thompson, Jordyn Jones, and many others.
The following day of Beautycon LA was just as awe-inspiring with an exciting and highly-anticipated appearance from Chrissy Teigan and musical phenomenon, John Legend. Chrissy Teigan had an excellent time participating in the Fireside Chat. Jaden Smith was also in attendance at the event and looked super cool and oh, so fashionable. Other celebs who joined in on the Beautycon LA fun during day 2 include Simone Biles, Amanda Steele, Twan Kuyper, Jay Manuel, Gabriel and Jess Conte, Madisyn Shipman, Sammy Wilk, Ingrid Nilsen, and many more.
Each and every year, Beautycon continues to outdo itself with an even greater festival than the years prior. Beautycon is a phenomenal festival that recognizes what it takes to redefine beauty, diversity and inclusion as well as celebrate culture and a woke community. Beautycon is a place that welcomes everyone and is one marvelous event that friends, families and people of all ages can go to and feel comfortable, appreciated, and know that they are in a safe environment celebrating beauty both on the inside and out.
