Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way was one of our favorite shows ever and how could it not be?! Each and every one of the episodes were absolutely magical and the cast-members are all so extraordinary. Well, what happens when many of our favorite cast-members from Every Witch Way are reunited and joined together for a brand new project?! Then, you get the masterpiece of a webseries titled, Hialeah. This magnificent show is filled with tons of laughs and a whole lot of fun. It has such a unique storyline and you will be captivated by each and every episode. The show stars Melissa Carcache, who also co-created and executive produced the show, and it also stars Elizabeth Elias, Rene Lavan, Jordan Wall, Marta Velasco and Marcos Casanova, amongst many others.
The outstanding cast enjoyed celebrating the premiere of Hialeah on November 11, 2017 at the Milander Center for Arts and Entertainment in Hialeah, Florida. Everyone was super excited to bring the webseries out to the public and cherish the special day.
Let’s take a look at what the cast shared during the premiere of the show.
Learn more about the show here! “When offered a new job back in her hometown of Hialeah, Mari Sanchez (Melissa Carcache) drags along her new secret husband Kay Greenberg (Jordan Wall) from Chicago to move in with her loud Cuban family. Having never met her family or learned Spanish, BIG challenges are in store for Kay as he arrives to Miami’s most Cuban populated city, Hialeah. While coming to grips with the culture shock and trying to gain the family’s acceptance, Kay must keep his cool while waiting for the right moment to reveal to Mari’s hot-tempered father, his secret marriage to his first-born daughter. Language barriers quickly become the least of Kay’s worries.
Writer/director David A. Vargas and writer Javier Mayol who are fresh off distributing their award winning film “Love and Hostages” team up with actress and executive producer, Melissa Carcache, notable for her role as “Lily” on Nickelodeon’s hit series “Every Witch Way.” Vargas and Carcache, both Miami-born and raised in Cuban families, contribute to the authenticity of these six episodes by adding a mixture of personal experiences and testimonies from real Cuban exiles, while Mayol adds the hilarious fish-out-of-water quirk. Modern meets classic in the short-form storytelling that this dream team was able to execute, hoping to capture the simplicity, humility and comedy that lies within a contemporary Cuban family living in Hialeah.” (Source: press release)
