
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are icons in every way and form. From animated series, to toys, games, and more, who doesn’t love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?! That’s why, when Nickelodeon announced that its brand new, animated series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be premiering this new year, we all couldn’t contain our excitement. In the outstanding, new series, the four, legendary turtles will be making their way to the streets of the City That Never Sleeps – New York, where they will find themselves getting into even more kinds of adventures.
Nickelodeon recently announced the cast-members who will be bringing these classic characters to life. Omar Miller, Ben Schwartz, Josh Brener, Brandon Mychal Smith and Kat Graham will all be voicing characters in the brilliant show. Omar Miller will voice the role of Raphael, Ben Schwartz will take on the role of Leonardo, Josh Brener will lend his voice to Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith will play the role of Michelangelo and Kat Graham will voice the character of April O’Neil. It’s clear to see that this is one all-star, immensely talented cast that can’t be beat and we know that they will do justice to their characters.
According to the press release, “The highly comedic voice cast shapes the team in a fresh way and breathes new life into the characters’ distinct personalities, including: Raphael, as the oldest and physically biggest brother, he is now the leader and his enthusiasm and bravado puts him front and center for most of their bizarre adventures; Leonardo, the self-professed ‘coolest’ brother possesses irreverent charm and a rebel heart; Donatello, an unflappable mechanical genius and tech wizard whose ninja skills are second only to his coding; Michelangelo, the youngest brother, an artist and awesome skateboarder with a wild colorful, and imaginative personality; and the Turtles’ most trusted ally, April O’Neil, a street savvy native New Yorker who is always ready to join in the fun. Additionally, Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) joins the cast as Splinter, both father figure and sensei to the Turtles.”
Chris Viscardi, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Animation shared his excitement over the cast joining the series and said, “This incredible roster of voice actors provides a fresh take on these globally recognized characters, and they are going to bring this version of the Turtles to life in a whole new way.
