
It was an unforgettable and magical night as the renowned and prestigious 8th Annual Music Guild Awards took place on February 8, 2018 in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The remarkable event honored the greatest in media music and even awarded the consummate musician, Kenny Loggins with the first-ever Icon Award. In addition, Becky Mancuso-Winding was presented with the Legacy Award at the event.
The Music Guild Awards is one spectacular award show that certainly can’t be beat. It celebrates the hard-work, dedication and passion of so many immensely talented musicians who work in media music. The phenomenal event kicked off with some special opening remarks from the Guild of Music Supervisors President, Thomas Golubić. The event also showcased awe-inspiring performances from Chris Pierce and Siddhartha Khosla – the composers of the highly-acclaimed, award-winning show, This Is Us, as well as performances from Hannah Miller and YungBlud.
Thomas Golubić, President of the Guild of Music Supervisors said, “Whether it’s honoring the legendary music supervisors of our time or spotlighting a new generation of artists, you will find one common thread: we are storytellers with the power to contribute to the most important cultural moments of our time. A countless amount of brilliant celebrities including David Hasselhoff, Chrissy Metz, Darren Criss, Hans Zimmer, Issa Rae, Aloe Blacc, Bryan Greenberg, Justin Cornwell and many others showed their support at the outstanding event.
