Every day is a perfect day to honor our furry friends who bring so much joy into our lives! The stupendous Lisa Vanderpump celebrated the Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s 4th Annual World Dog Day on May 18, 2019 at the West Hollywood Park in Los Angeles, California. Each and every year, this extraordinary event continues to get bigger and better as it brings together celebrities and dog lovers for one main purpose: to save a countless amount of dogs from all over the world and give them a more humane place to live in.
West Hollywood Park was filled with tons of adorable pups and a total of 40 excellent vendors that attendees were able to visit. Attendees got the chance to purchase cute accessories for their dogs from the Vanderpump Dog Foundation including water bowls, pet carriers and more that has every pooch parading in style. Several other fantastic activities took place at the event including a “Doga” class where owners and their dogs were able to relax, meditate and practice yoga in the sun as well as some live performances. America’s Got Talent‘s very own “Super Collies” even put on a great show that everyone was gushing over.
Lisa Vanderpump looked stunning wearing a puppy-printed dress and was all smiles with her husband Ken Todd as they welcomed in yet another incredibly successful year of the World Dog Day event. More phenomenal celebrities came out to support the event including Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, James Kennedy, Raquel Leviss and Scheana Marie. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright enjoyed hosting the first ever “Best of Vanderpump Rescue Contest,” sponsored by the Posh Puppy Boutique, where rescue dog “Bear” was honored as the Vanderpump Rescue Dog of the Year. In addition, Dr. John Sessa had a brilliant time at the event with a precious, rescue pup in his hand.
World Dog Day truly is a sensational event that highlights all of the strides the Vanderpump Dog Foundation has and continues to make to help the world become a better place for dogs to live in. Through the foundation’s elegant Vanderpump Dogs Rescue Center, a total of 1,000 dogs have already been adopted and brought to loving homes. Lisa Vanderpump continues to work tirelessly with her foundation to bring awareness and help put an end towards dog abuse. Through her documentary, The Road to Yulin… and Beyond, Lisa Vanderpump and the Vanderpump Dog Foundation were able to show the horrific treatment of dogs during the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Vanderpump and her foundation continue to work on legislation to make the change we all needed to see happen yesterday and help save dogs that are being mistreated.
In her interview with Alexisjoyvipaccess, Lisa Vanderpump talked about World Dog Day and said, “It’s wonderful because it’s about celebrating dogs but also we’ve been to Congress this year. We had resolution 401, which we co-wrote with Congressman Hastings, so to see that passed… We’ve adopted a thousand dogs, so it’s a moment of celebration and I think people really enjoy it.”
The Vanderpump Dog Foundation continues to make an everlasting impact on the lives of dogs and dog owners alike. The Vanderpump Dogs Rescue Center creates such a warm, welcoming and luxurious environment for those who want to spoil their pets or are thinking about adopting their very own. It’s so inspiring to see the work that Lisa Vanderpump and the Vanderpump Dog Foundation does to encourage people to take action and to always remember to adopt, don’t shop!
