A super cute pop-up museum + some delicious tacos = a perfect mix! Pop-up museums have been all the rave. C’mon, what’s not to love about them?! Pop-up museums are basically a photo-opp heaven that keeps your Instagram game on point. Well, a brand new pop-up museum just made its way to the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California and it is bound to be everyone’s obsession. We’re talking about Tacotopia – an outstanding pop-up museum all about… you guessed it… TACOS!
Presented by Cholula Hot Sauce, Tacotopia had its special grand opening on Thursday, May 23, 2019. With more than 30 installations, Tacotopia gives taco lovers the chance to snap some fantastic pictures with life-sized Cholula bottles, a taco teeter-totter and a vibrant Carnaval area with delicious and colorful Jarritos soda. Oh, and we can’t forget to mention that there’s even a guac foam pit. OMG is right! And, as if that wasn’t enough – there’s a mechanical taco too. Tacotopia screams out one word: FUN! Your followers are going to be: a) totally jealous of all your terrific pics b) craving some tacos or both.
The grand opening of Tacotopia was a star-studded, sensational way to kick-off all of the excitement that this pop-up has in store. Aside from getting immersed in all of the taco-inspired installations, guests were also able to listen and jam out to an exceptional DJ set from Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy. James Kennedy brought the celebration to another level with his awesome tunes. In addition, Bachelor alum Colton Underwood and Bachelorette alum Rebecca Kufrin and her fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen were all in attendance at the event.
A taco celebration isn’t complete without some tacos, of course! The magnificent grand opening had mouth-watering tacos from Azulé Taqueria, with a choice of beef, chicken or cauliflower tacos. Guests were also able to munch on some chips with Cholula Hot Sauce and feel refreshed drinking Jarritos soda, Nosotros margaritas or a cerveza.
