What do you get when a team of geniuses come together to bring out a series focusing on a movement that has impacted us all? You get EPIX’s Punk. Since its inception, the docu-series Punk was bound for great success and how could it not be?! It’s executive-produced by one of the most respected and renowned fashion icons out – the one and only, John Varvatos. It is produced by an award-winning and admired film and television producer, Derik Murray and has the unstoppable, #BossLady Rachel Brill as the head of unscripted originals at Epix working on the series. Punk is a four-part docu-series that tells the fascinating story of the punk movement – highlighting everything from the signature fashion of the time, the DIY lifestyle and of course, the music. The story was told with the help of a countless amount of iconic, punk musicians including Iggy Pop (who also executive-produced the series), Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols, Joey Ramone of the Ramones, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie, Dave Grohl of Nirvana, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and many, many more. As soon as Punk aired on our TV screens, the world was instantly captivated by the series. Punk fans were able to reminisce over their fondest punk memories and relive the movement that has helped so many people find a way to express themselves. Punk is, without a doubt, a masterpiece of a series!
