It was a day full of beauty as hundreds of attendees celebrated the grand opening of Beautytap’s “store-within-a-store” at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California during the K Beauty Pop event on October 26, 2019. Beautytap, the premier destination for Korean beauty education, advice, content, community, and premium luxury beauty products, welcomed over 350 attendees to enjoy amazing activations from leading K-Beauty and J-Beauty brands and try out makeup stations, join in on some fun contests and take part in some excellent, glam experiences.
K Beauty Pop, presented by Beautytap and StyleCon, truly was a picture perfect day for all beauty enthusiasts. At the event, Beautytap CEO, James Sun addressed the audience during a brilliant, fireside chat with E! News correspondent, Melanie Bromley. Bromley also hosted other outstanding panels throughout the day.
The opening of Beautytap’s “store-within-a-store” helps revolutionize the shopping experience for beauty product lovers. A big highlight of the new store is the Himirror smart mirror, which analyzes a customer’s skin and recommends products tailored to their skincare needs. According to the press release, the Himirror smart mirror then offers customers “1-10 K-beauty steps with specific products within those step categories based on their skin concern and budget (affordable, medium, and premium) price range.” This greatly changes the way customers can shop for products as they are able to personalize their experience and buy products that target their skin type – whether they need products for oily skin, dry skin or to help with acne.
Guests had a terrific time at the event with magnificent, experiential activations from brands including AZN Labs, Haruharu, Mediheal, and Sekkisei. My Beauty Diary and Paul and Joe Cosmetics also had fabulous, in-store activation stations. In addition, for the first time, attendees had the chance to purchase AZN Labs Hydrogel Eye Patches, which diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as AZN Hydrogel Afterglow Lip Masks, which reduce the appearance of lines on and around the lip area.
Beautytap’s “store-within-a-store” is the best destination to get all of your beauty product must-haves. As soon as you step inside, you’ll feel like you’re in beauty product heaven. The “store-within-a-store” is incredibly cute and one of the best parts about it is how organized it is. Beauty products that help with acne, anti-aging, brightening skin, calming and products for oily and dry skin are all designated in their own areas with a sign right above so customers know exactly where to go for the skin concern they are experiencing.
