Nothing can stop Nickelodeon from bringing on the slime! Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards is an event that kids and their families eagerly look forward to each year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the awards show, which was originally scheduled to take place on March 22nd, was postponed. But, have no fear, as the KCAs is still bringing tons of fun this year! Nickelodeon just announced their incredibly innovative way to continue the excitement for the slimetastic event with a virtually produced show titled Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together airing on Saturday, May 2nd at 8:00 PM ET/PT. Kids casted millions of votes for their favorite celebs to win big, and the winners will be revealed during the show hosted by the beautiful and talented Victoria Justice.
Similar to the live show that takes place each year, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together will feature tons of your favorite celebrities, surprises and a whole lot of… slime, of course! A countless amount of phenomenal stars will be joining in on the fun including Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Camila Cabello, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellen DeGeneres, BTS, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X, Dove Cameron, Tom Holland, David Dobrik, Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, SSSniperWolf, and more.
Fans of The Avengers: Endgame will be ecstatic to see special appearances from the cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner. Viewers will also get a sneak peek at Nickelodeon’s new, live-action series The Astronauts, from Imagine Entertainment. The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards isn’t complete without some awesome performances, right?! Well, fans will be able to jam along to recording artist and actor Asher Angel during his performance of his hit single, “All Day.” Viewers at home will also get to enjoy other fantastic segments including seeing JoJo Siwa discovering slime secretly placed in every area of her home and an exclusive look at Nick’s Slime in Space Voyage.

To add onto all of the excitement, Nickelodeon will also be honoring NBA legend LeBron James with the 2020 Generation Change Award during the show. According to the press release, LeBron James will be honored for “his commitment to creating real and lasting change through education. The LeBron James Family Foundation’s groundbreaking I PROMISE School serves his hometown’s most at-risk students and their entire families with the support, programming and wide-ranging resources they need to succeed in the classroom and at home, creating a new model for urban, public education.”
In addition, Nickelodeon will donate $1 million to No Kid Hungry to help its campaign to end childhood hunger in America and assist families that are affected by COVID-19. “Every day that schools are closed, kids in need miss nearly 34 million school meals. No Kid Hungry is working to ensure every kid gets three meals a day during this time of crisis and all year long” (source: press release).
