The Office has cemented itself as one of the most iconic sitcoms – from all of the hilarious moments that will literally make you laugh out loud to every one of the beloved characters. A character that we all can’t get enough of is the one and only, Bob Vance. A phenomenal husband, the best self-promoter and a hard-working businessman, Vance, played by profound actor Robert Ray Shafer, instantly won over the hearts of viewers in every episode he was in.
Bob Vance and Phyllis were inarguably one of the greatest couples on the show. Shafer brought the essence of his character to life in such a remarkable way. Whether it was their sweet wedding episode, or spoiling Phyllis with wonderful gifts on Valentine’s Day or even spending $1,000 during the “Crime Aid” auction for a hug from Phyllis, this fan-favorite couple proved what true love is. No other person could have played the role of Bob Vance better than the incomparable Robert Shafer. There are some TV characters that leave a lasting impression on you and Bob Vance truly is one of them.
Shafer is an admirable and exceptional actor. He honed in on his gift for acting by taking classes from the late and great Peggy Feury at The Loft Studios. Since then, Shafer has showcased his unrivaled talent in projects including The Young and the Restless, his movie Dick Dickster, Psycho Cop, How I Met Your Mother, Pair of Kings, Adam Ruins Everything, and many more. With every project that he works on, Shafer always exhibits his great professionalism and passion for entertaining others. From portraying one of the greatest characters in TV history to being a part of a countless amount of other movies, shows and commercials – the terrific Robert Ray Shafer is a force to be reckoned with.
