
From surfing some of the most outrageous and breathtaking waves, to making history by bringing fans along with him during his astonishing 30-second tube ride at Skeleton Bay, surf hero Koa Smith has definitely established himself as an ultimate surfer, and an icon at that! With several, championship titles under his belt, Koa Smith has become a household name in the surfing world. Most recently, the skillful, surf superstar was a contestant in ABC’s The Ultimate Surfer competition show. He performed everything from floaters to a frontside air reverse and added his own unrivaled Koa Smith flair to every maneuver he pulled off.
His technique, his precision, his great style, and his superb talent proves he truly is one of the best of the best. Smith manages to make all of his tricks look so easy and effortless, but the great dedication, passion, and calculation he takes into account to nail these moves just shows his expertise.
But, even before he made his way to national television, Koa Smith was already known for being a surfing sensation. Not only is he an accomplished, surf master, but what allows Smith to continue to make such an influential mark is his fantastic innovation. He’s traveled all over the world from South Africa to Indonesia, Panama, Costa Rica and beyond, riding the best waves, becoming one with water, and having some of the most surreal, out-of-body experiences. For many of us, bungee-jumping in Cape Town or saving seals is something that’s just at the top of our bucket-lists, but thanks to Koa Smith’s unmatched content and YouTube videos, we’re able to go on these thrilling and invigorating journeys with him, and live vicariously through someone who is always doing something epic.
Koa Smith is a visionary with all of his content. We’re able to see life from a different perspective through the lens of a trailblazing surfer. In fact, he’s even been hard at work creating his very own short film titled, The Source, which we are all highly-anticipating and excitedly waiting for its release. When he’s not shredding some waves, Koa Smith and his brothers also own several, health food restaurants called The Sunrise Shack, with locations in Hawaii, Japan and California.
There may be many surfers out in the world, but there’s only one Koa Smith. He truly has it all – the unsurpassed talent, the terrific drive and determination, the love for surfing flowing through his veins, and the thing that stands out most – his ever-optimistic, always charismatic, and full-of-life personality. You’ll always find the renowned surfer with his million dollar smile beaming across his face. He’s started a movement on how to live life the right way – full of unforgettable moments, lots of adventures, and with the motto to always believe you can!
