AlexisJoyVIPAccess: Congratulations on all of the phenomenal success with your career! Can you first off tell us what inspired you to focus your life around creating your great TikTok videos and other content online?

Bailey Spinn: Thank you! When I was younger, I had a passion for YouTube and admired those who put themselves out there, which was something I always wanted to do. I’m a very creative person, and I was looking for a way to express myself and then quarantine hit. I was inspired by a content creator who came up on my “For You” page and decided to make a similar video to hers. That was my first POV to ever get views, which further encouraged me to keep posting every day. It was heartwarming to know that so many people looked forward to the content I was making, and I did not want to let anyone down. I’ve always felt natural behind my phone, so content creation came pretty easy to me. Once my account took off, I decided to follow my passion for the arts and see how far it could take me! I love putting myself out there every day and making people smile. The thought of it always keeps me going.

AlexisJoyVIPAccess: Do you have a favorite TikTok video you’ve created thus far?

Bailey Spinn: Surprisingly, my favorite video is not one of my infamous POVS, it’s a transition video pinned to the top of my profile. The video is short yet means so much to me and who I’ve become as a person. It was a transition of the first time I ever decided to dye my hair purple—something I always wanted to do but was too afraid to. For me, it marked a new beginning. That video is when my style started to change, and I finally was able to fully express myself. Also, the transition was pretty smooth making it very satisfying to watch.

AlexisJoyVIPAccess: You have close to 12 million followers on TikTok. What is it like for you having your content loved and admired by so many people?

Bailey Spinn: It’s a surreal thing to think about. When I look at my profile, I sometimes need to process what that actually means. At the start of 2021, I only had two million followers. After I quickly blew up, it didn’t feel like reality. I had been working so hard on my content for over a year and it felt like my effort was finally getting the recognition it deserved. I am so glad that people look forward to what I’m going to post because I love to inspire others to take action on their dreams as well. I always try to make sure my followers enjoy what I’m posting because I’ve always done it for them. I adore seeing other people laughing and smiling while watching one of my comedic scenes, and I’m happy they love it!

AlexisJoyVIPAccess: You also had the stellar opportunity of getting to take part in the first ever TikTok panel at Los Angeles Comic Con. What was that experience like for you?

Bailey Spinn: This was something I would never have expected for myself! I met Stephen Kramer Glickman at one of my friend’s birthday parties and he ended up inviting me there to be on his panel. It was a crazy experience from the beginning—we were in a massive convention center with so many things to see. I was also pretty nervous because I had never been on a panel before, so I didn’t know what to expect. I am pretty anxious at times, so sitting on a stage in front of a crowd was a little nerve-wracking. It ended up being super fun! We all got to open up and talk about the realities of being a content creator, and I’m glad I was there to be one of the first. I would do it again and maybe try to speak up more!

AlexisJoyVIPAccess: If you could collaborate with any other TikToker/social media influencer, who would you like it to be and what kind of video would you like to create?

Bailey Spinn: I would absolutely love to collaborate with Spencer Barbosa because the messages she sends out to young girls are so positive and significantly impact how they love themselves. She creates a lot of body-positive and inspirational TikToks, which even help me to get through some hard times. Spencer is one of those creators who never fails to put a smile on my face. It would be a dream to create a TikTok with her showing young girls how to love themselves and appreciate their qualities!

AlexisJoyVIPAccess: One of the many terrific things about you is that you use your platform to make an impact. You’re an anti-bullying advocate, so can you tell us a little more about the work you continue to do to help put an end to bullying?

Bailey Spinn: I’ve been working on creating content on my page that inspires other people to be kind and think about the impact of their words/comments. It’s easy to type something out when you are hiding behind a phone screen, but those comments can have a huge, negative impact on the person that’s receiving them. Kids can also be a little brutal, so I try my best to let others know that as long as you are kind, you will make it far. Building confidence is one way I hope to help end bullying. Nowadays, there are so many standards for how girls and guys should look, but they are just unhealthy stereotypes. We were all born and created how we were supposed to be and that’s beautiful in itself. My main message is that bullying will bring nothing to you but bad karma, and being positive and supportive of your peers is endlessly rewarding.

AlexisJoyVIPAccess: You’ve already accomplished so much in your career. What is something that’s on your bucket list that you’d like to work on next?

Bailey Spinn: I’m currently in the process of creating music! I’ve had a passion for the arts since I was a kid, and music was one of them. I played a couple of instruments and even wrote a cover of “Hallelujah” for a district school fair. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been taking vocal lessons to improve my voice and build my confidence when it comes to singing. Alongside vocal lessons, I’ve been learning the electric guitar since rock and pop-punk music are my favorite genres. I can’t wait until I’m able to be in the studio creating music to inspire others!

What are some upcoming projects you’re working on that fans can stay tuned for?

Bailey Spinn: The main project I’ve been working on behind the scenes is music, so hopefully, they can expect a song or two from me by the end of this year. I’m also branching into acting, so maybe they’ll see me on the small screen soon!
