
What better way to kick off the spring season than with a wonderful event for a terrific cause?! Celebrities and leaders in the medical field gathered together for an inspiring night at the Alzheimer’s Association Purple Spring Gala held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California on April 15. The outstanding event was hosted by none other than The Office icon, Kate Flannery. A night of music and magical moments, this year’s Alzheimer’s Association Purple Spring Gala raised over a whopping $550K for the sensational cause.
The stellar event had an exciting program consisting of a delicious dinner, marvelous, musical performances, awards presentations, and a live auction. The gala highlighted the impact that music has on those who have Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Grammy Award-winner, Seal, took on the stage with Stargate songwriter and music producer, Mikkel Eriksen, for a mesmerizing performance of “Stand By Me.” Seal and Eriksen left attendees in awe as they performed several other incredible songs during the event. The gala continued with more breathtakingly beautiful and wonderful performances from The Tony Guerrero Band, blues / R&B genius, Billy Valentine, Elijah Fox and Rayvon Owen. One of the many highlights of the night was when hostess with the most, Kate Flannery, dazzled the stage with a brilliant performance of a couple of songs.

“Jacqueline Kouri was presented with the Legacy Honor, which paid tribute to her decades of work and research in Alzheimer’s. Kouri was a founding member of AIM (the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement), which fights to support Alzheimer’s and dementia research funding and advance bipartisan legislation that will have a positive and meaningful impact on people living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers today and in the future” (source: press release).
Incredible celebrities including The Office‘s Angela Kinsey, Breaking Bad‘s Betsy Brandt, NBC LA’s Lynette Romero, and Sharon Stone’s son, Roan, and sister, Kelly, all had a fantastic time showing their support at the event.
