Shhh… 🤫 We may or may not happen to have the best news ever… pass it on! Netflix announced that its highly-acclaimed, hit series, XO, Kitty has been renewed for a second season. When the remarkable show first premiered on the streaming network, it instantly became everyone’s top show to binge-watch. In fact, it debuted at #2 on the English TV List with 72.1M hours viewed and appeared in Netflix’s Top 10 in a whopping 90 countries in its first week. Now, fans will be able to continue to join Kitty on her exciting journey of love in a second season of the show.
The spectacular news was shared through a fun video on the XO, Kitty Instagram account featuring stars of the show passing a note along to one another with it ultimately reaching Anna Cathcart. The fabulous Cathcart, who plays the titular role of Kitty in the show, opened up the note to reveal the magnificent news of the second season pickup.
Cathcart shared the exciting news on her Instagram account as seen in the post below and wrote, “freaking out… a little bit… or a lot @xokittynetflix.”
XO, Kitty is a spinoff series inspired by the renowned To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before movie franchise. The show, created by Jenny Han, stars the aforementioned Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, Minyeong Choi as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Anthony Keyvan as Q, Peter Thurnwald as Alex, with Yunjin Kim as Jina, Sarayu Blue as Trina, John Corbett as Dan Covey, Michael K Lee as Professor Lee, Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison, Théo Augier as Florian, and Regan Aliyah as Juliana.
