From drift cars to monster trucks, there’s a whole culture around cars. Music icon Swizz Beatz and his son Nasir Dean (also known as Note Marcato) are taking viewers on a ride in their adrenaline-filled series, Drive with Swizz Beatz, premiering on Nov. 16 on Hulu. In the phenomenal show, Swizz Beatz and Nasir go around the globe to learn more about these destinations’ distinct car cultures and bring together two, contrasting car worlds over a shared love of automotive.
The series is one that will certainly rev up a whole lot of excitement. The meaning of “drive” in the show is not just symbolized through taking high-speed vehicles out for a spin. In fact, the magnificent series emphasizes the drive that each of the individuals featured have for what they do. Another way we see “drive” in the series is the one thing that drives almost everything in life…family! Seeing Swizz Beatz and Nasir Dean’s terrific bond is so heartwarming. It’s so great to be a spectator of them creating and cherishing all of these unforgettable memories together.
Hulu and Onyx Collective hosted the Los Angeles premiere of Drive with Swizz Beatz on Nov. 9 at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The renowned automotive museum was the perfect place to host the event and allowed all guests to fully immerse into the world of cars. Guests were able to enjoy scrumptious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails before a special screening of the first episode of the show.
Before giving attendees a first look at episode one, Swizz Beatz and Nasir Dean welcomed guests and thanked them for coming out to support the series. Swizz Beatz and Nasir had guests gushing as they called each other “BFFs.” Nasir Dean proudly called his dad his “sacred treasure” and his “holy grail,” and raved over how working on the show gave him an opportunity to learn so much about his father.
After joining Swizz Beatz and Nasir Dean on their journey in Houston in the first episode, guests were invited to make their way over to the penthouse for a superb after-party. Attendees got to grub on yummy foods like tacos, felafel and arancini while sipping on delicious drinks. With awesome music filling up the atmosphere, there were tons of exciting activations at the event including a fun photo-booth and an opportunity to test out your best race-car driver skills.
I had an absolutely stupendous time attending the Los Angeles premiere of Drive with Swizz Beatz and I can honestly say this show is my new obsession. I can’t wait to see all of the adventures Swizz Beatz and Nasir Dean will take throughout the series.
