What happens when you can access the World Wide Web instantaneously from your brain? As what the multi-faceted David Bianchi said, “it could make [a person] infinitely powerful—and maybe good or dangerous.” In the gripping, sci-fi thriller, RZR, viewers are brought into a dystopian world filled with neural implants, artificial intelligence, and black-market crime. Bianchi took on many hats while working on this revolutionary series, being the creator, co-writer, executive producer, and star of the incredibly intriguing show. He breaks down a complex topic into a fascinating and compelling series that will have you hooked from the very beginning.
RZR follows Grimm, played by Bianchi, a hacker who creates a brain implantation device. Who is the first person to test out this technology? Well…himself. Chaos ensues and we see Grimm and Detective Thompson, played by Mena Suvari, go head to head in this nonstop action series that will leave you at the edge of your seat the entire time. RZR embodies the question we all ponder about…what happens when power given through advanced technology is put in the hands (or in this case, the heads) of the wrong people?
Bianchi and the entire cast and crew did such a brilliant job bringing this innovative show to life. Not only is it filled with suspense, but it also touches upon future-focused technology, such as blockchain, in a thought-provoking way. From a captivating storyline, to effortlessly-coordinated fight scenes, a terrific score, and a phenomenal cast who put their heart and soul into this project, RZR truly is a must-see.
The cast and creative minds of RZR gathered together at a special FYC screening of the show on May 14 at the Saban Media Center in Los Angeles, California. After a screening of the series, the cast and producers took part in a stimulating panel discussion.
With a season two already in the works, a lot more excitement is in store with this groundbreaking series. I had a stellar time chatting with the extraordinary David Bianchi all about what the inspiration was behind creating this excellent show, what it was like for him juggling many different responsibilities while working on RZR, and so much more only in our VIPAccessEXCLUSIVE interview.
