It’s almost time to roll out the orange carpet as the highly anticipated Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025 makes its way to the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on June 21. This slimetastic event always promises a whole lot of excitement — from epic slimings to awesome celebrity appearances, terrific performances, and more. And to add to all that fun, Nickelodeon just announced that none other than legendary comedian Jack Black will be bestowed the crown as he receives the King of Comedy Award at the event. Black will be honored with the coveted Silver Blimp, and he is in for a treat — a recognition this great only calls for a sliming just as iconic.
Black has been a significant part of Kids’ Choice Awards history and the Nickelodeon family as a whole. He has hosted the KCAs not just once, but three times! He’s also a two-time Kids’ Choice Awards winner, having received an orange blimp for his voiceover work as “Bowser” in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and winning “Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie” for his role in Kung Fu Panda.
The extraordinary Jack Black is so deserving of this award, as he brings an abundance of joy to fans across the globe and to people of all ages with his unparalleled humor. We know he’ll bring a whole lot of his one-of-a-kind Jack Black mannerisms and comedic charm to this year’s awards show.
Nickelodeon also revealed the many celebrities who will be joining the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025, hosted by music sensation Tyla. Alex Warren, Auliʻi Cravalho, Benny Blanco, Ice Spice, Jack Griffo, Jacob Rodriguez, Katelyn West, Kel Mitchell, Kira Kosarin, Maia Kealoha, Renee Montgomery, SeanDoesMagic, Samantha Lorraine, Tony Hawk, and Victoria Monét will all be getting their slime on at the event. These exceptional stars join previously announced performers KATSEYE, who will be performing their hit song, “Candy.”
The Kids’ Choice Awards puts the power in the hands of the fans. Kids and their families can vote for their favorites across 35 categories. According to the press release, fans can also look forward to “exciting star-studded collaborations, legendary skateboarding stunts, and the latest in music with high-energy dancing,” and much more.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025 will simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, MTV2, and CMT on June 21 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), and will also air on Nickelodeon channels around the world.
