Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! Fans got to meet Chloe Charming in Disney’s highly acclaimed film, Descendants: The Rise of Red. She’s a straight-A student, captain of the Swords and Shields Fencing Team, and chair of the Dragon Appreciation Club. And one thing about Chloe is that she can always charm everyone she encounters. That’s why there’s no more perfect person to play this amazing character than the ever-so-lovable and marvelous Malia Baker.
The gracious and radiant Malia Baker is a true gem and a ray of sunshine. Just like the character she plays, Baker is incredibly kind and immediately lights up every room she walks into. The multi-threat performer brought together her many talents in Descendants: The Rise of Red, wowing viewers with her spectacular singing, excellent dancing, and brilliant acting. Fans have a lot to look forward to from Baker. She’s getting ready to embark on the Descendants / Zombies: Worlds Collide tour with her castmate, Kylie Cantrall, and cast members from the Zombies franchise this summer. This tour will bring the magic of these franchises to stages across North America and will feature great performances of songs from the movies. Baker also has Descendants: Wicked Wonderland coming up — a sequel to Descendants: The Rise of Red.
Malia Baker shines in other movie and TV projects
The effervescent Malia Baker always stands out in every project she’s a part of. She starred as Mary Anne Spier in Netflix’s hit series The Baby-Sitters Club, where she was even nominated for a Family Emmy for “Best Youth Performance.” She also starred in Nickelodeon’s Are You Afraid of the Dark? series.
In addition to being a remarkable actor, Baker continues to be a spectacular role model for all of her fans. She champions Girl Up, a leadership development initiative that welcomes girls and youth of all gender identities to advance gender justice worldwide. She is also a global ambassador for She’s the First, a nonprofit that ensures girls everywhere are educated, respected, and heard.
