Music brings people together. No matter what language you speak, where you come from, or what your life story is, music connects people in a way few other things can. And speaking of connection, more than 20 music and arts foundations and organizations have joined forces to form the Music Impact Coalition (MIC), a national alliance dedicated to ensuring that every student has access to high-quality music and arts education in K–12 schools regardless of circumstance, location, or resources. This phenomenal initiative was founded and fueled by Let Music Fill My World and Artist for Artist.
According to a press release, “the program will kick off in North Carolina and Ohio, marking the start of a multi-state pilot initiative funded through a $2 million grant from Let Music Fill My World. This initiative will test scalable models for equitable music education in public schools, with the goal of removing barriers to access and participation in music and arts education nationwide.”
In honor of music’s biggest event, the Grammy Awards, the Music Impact Coalition celebrated its launch with several inspiring, music-filled activations in Los Angeles.
MIC kicked off Grammy Week in exciting fashion with a Composing for Video Games panel at the GRAMMY Museum, which highlighted how video game music is more than just a soundtrack—it’s what brings a project to life. The panel explored how video game music is implemented, released, and engaged with by fans. The week also included one-of-a-kind educational sessions on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.
The celebration continued with more magical musical moments at the renowned Soho House West Hollywood, where MIC hosted a private dinner and VIP experience. The evening culminated in an intimate and remarkable performance by Young the Giant. The magnetic and incredibly talented band performed several fan-favorite hits, including “The Walk Home” and “Bitter Fruit,” treating attendees to a truly mesmerizing performance. With new music on the horizon, it’s clear that 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Young the Giant, and fans have plenty to look forward to.

And it doesn’t stop there. As the Grammy Awards draw closer, the Music Impact Coalition is hosting additional events throughout the week, including a student A/V recording session, an FYI Visionaries gathering with will.i.am, and a MIC pop-up.
