In the experience, you team up with Aluna, a guide from the future, and her absolutely adorable robot dog. Together, you’ll “search for clues, feed hungry Stegosauruses, feel the tremors of towering Brachiosaurus, and even race to rescue vulnerable Tyrannosaurus hatchlings” (source: Sandbox VR). With your VR prop in hand, which serves as your “camera” during the experience, you’ll be able to capture every moment of your expedition.
Sandbox VR Age of Dinosaurs review
So… you may be wondering: is it worth getting tickets to this experience? The answer is yes, yes, and… YES! Age of Dinosaurs is a brilliant experience for families and friends to enjoy. It’s especially great for kids, not only will they have a blast, but it’s also incredibly educational. In fact, the experience was created in partnership with the Natural History Museum of London.
The animation is superb and completely mesmerizing. Needless to say, you’ll be in awe the entire time.
An exclusive first look
I had a magnificent time attending the launch party for Age of Dinosaurs at the Sandbox VR Woodland Hills location, where I got a sneak peek at the experience before its public debut on April 3. The event was rawr-some! I truly felt like I had stepped into the world of dinosaurs, with lifelike robotic dinosaurs grazing throughout the space.
To add to the excitement, there was also a matcha cart and a dino sand pit where kids could take home a piece of the day’s memories.
