The 2016 Streamy Awards took place on October 4, 2016 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, and although it may have been a couple of days ago already, we still can’t get over how epic the Streamy Awards were. With King Bach hosting the spectacular award show and certainly giving us all a night to remember, oh and he announced that he is running for President (#VoteForKingBach!) plus many more sensational highlights, the 2016 Streamy Awards definitely made entertainment and online-video making history.
It’s so awe-inspiring to see how far the online-video making world has come and how so many content creators have gone on to doing some remarkable things because of their hard work and passion for creating incredible content. That’s what the Streamy Awards is all about – celebrating all of the successes and the future of the online-video making world and how much of an impact it has made in all of our lives.
The Streamy Awards brought together so many of our favorite content creators under one roof. The night had many memorable moments such as many extraordinary online-video makers coming out to present at the event and the one and only Biz Markie taking on the stage at the event to perform his hit songs “Just a Friend” and “Make The Music With Your Mouth.” The night was even more special with a touching and mesmerizing tribute to the stupendous Christina Grimmie, who was a genius and phenomenal musician and YouTuber, and Kurt Hugo Schneider and Sam Tsui’s performance to honor the late singer left everyone speechless.
The 2016 Streamy Awards promised a marvelous night and it truly gave that! What started off as one person putting up an amazing video on YouTube has now become an entire community creating, inspiring, and influencing others to be themselves and join in on all of the fun. That’s what the Streamy Awards are all about – showing how one video, one Vine, one live-stream, and more can impact the lives of many.
The winners of 14 incredible categories will be announced at this year’s award show taking place on October 4, 2016 at the Beverly Hilton and hosted by none other than Vine sensation, writer, and actor King Bach. She’s a spectacular actress, a fantastic fashion queen, and an absolute gem – she’s the magnificent Paris Smith! With each and every episode of Nickelodeon’s highly-acclaimed and terrific TV show, Every Witch Way, the lovely Paris Smith always brought magic to our TV screens and she truly established herself as a phenomenal and gifted actress who is adored by fans from all across the globe. We loved seeing Paris Smith take on the incredible role of “Maddie Van Pelt” on the show and we couldn’t get over her character’s fun and sassy attitude and her marvelous outfits. “Maddie Van Pelt” will always be a character that holds a special place in everyone’s hearts as the remarkable Paris Smith did such an exceptional job bringing her character to life.
In addition to her work on Every Witch Way, Paris Smith has also brought her wonderful talent and great charisma to other projects like Kids React and in a guest-star episode of Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. Aside from being known as an extraordinary actress, Paris Smith is also known for being a fashion icon who always looks so classy and rocks some of the best OOTDs. If there is anyone we could spend a day shopping with then Paris Smith is definitely at the top of everyone’s lists. There are an infinite amount of reasons why the world loves Paris Smith – she is an awesome role model, a beauty both inside and out, and her outstanding personality radiates to everyone around her. With a lot more excitement coming up, we all can’t wait to see what Paris Smith’s bright and shining future in the entertainment industry has in store.

To say YouTube and other social media platforms is taking over the world is truly an understatement. YouTube and social media platforms has allowed creators to get movie deals, fashion lines, commercials, go on the biggest tours, have events dedicated to their craft including the renowned Vidcon event and even a spectacular and prestigious award show dedicated solely to YouTube and social media influencers known as the one and only… Streamy Awards! In its 5th year running, the Streamy Awards is bigger and better than ever with new categories honoring your favorite content creators! The sensational Streamy Awards will be making digital media history on September 17th as it makes its way live to the Hollywood Palladium on September 17, 2015 at 10:00 PM.
According to the press release, “If the strength of this year’s nominees is any indication, we are on track for the biggest Streamys ever,” said Streamy Awards Creator Drew Baldwin. “This past year, video creators have inspired, educated, and entertained us like never before—and I can imagine no better way to celebrate our community’s achievements than with dick clark productions and VH1 for our first-ever television and digital broadcast.”
The Streamy Awards is giving fans the opportunity to have their voice heard with two fan-voted awards including “Entertainer of the Year” and “Show Of The Year” in which fans will be able to vote for their favorites from September 3rd when those nominees are announced leading up to and during the award show on September 17th. The press release also stated, “Snapchat scripted series SnapperHero garnered the most Streamys nominations with six total. Epic Rap Battles of History and Video Game High School followed, tied with four nominations each, while Bootleg Universe and The Hotwives of Orlando each secured three nominations. The full list of Streamy Awards nominees is included below.”
On August 12th at the Annenburg Community Beach House, 30 of the top YouTube and social media influencers gathered together to reveal the nominees for the 5th annual Streamy Awards. In attendance were phenomenons including Glozell, Bart Baker, Flula, Lohanthony, Lauren Elizabeth, Jack and Jack, Bailee Madison, Twan, Aaron Carpenter, Frankie Grande and more.
