The world we live in is changing at a pace faster than we can even recognize it, and a lot of it is because of the incredible platforms that we have today that allow us to bring out content from all different categories including lifestyle, comedy, beauty and more, as well as the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world and for influencers to engage more with their fans. Needless to say, the online community has helped make so many more different advances in our day to day lives and we continue to be amazed with what is present and what is yet to come in online video making.

One of the greatest award shows dedicated to all things online video making is returning for its sixth year in a row for another epic and stupendous event, and yes, I’m talking about the 2016 Streamy Awards. The Streamy Awards is known for being one outstanding award show that brings together the online community and celebrates all of the contributions they have made and the impact these influencers will continue to make in the future. This award show allows us all to see how far we’ve come with online video making and it inspires everyone to join a phenomenal community that serves as many influencers’ second family.

Today, August 24, 2016, Tubefilter and dick clark productions joined together with host and 6th annual Streamy Awards nominee, YouTube phenomenon GloZell, as well as other YouTube stars and online video creators including the Merrell Twins, Chester See, Jordan Doww, Cody Ko, Brittany Furlan, Lohanthony, and more to announce the 6th Annual Streamy Awards nominees at the Streamy Awards Nominations Announcement event held at the 41 Ocean in Santa Monica, California.

The event was filled with a lot of excitement as these internationally-acclaimed YouTube sensations came together to celebrate all those that have been nominated for a Streamy Award in categories including “Comedy,” “Drama,” “Fashion,” “Health & Wellness,” “Lifestyle,” “Pranks,” and more. The event was presented by OWNZONES and also live-streamed on GloZell’s YouTube channel and was embedded on www.streamys.org.

According to the press release, “Multiple Streamy Award-winning channel and series Epic Rap Battles of History tied with Oscar’s Hotel for Fantastical Creatures for the most nominations, garnering four each. Casey Neistat, Electra Woman & Dyna Girl, fouseyTUBE, Grace Helbig, Miss 2059, and Roman Atwood all secured three nominations each.”

Streamy Awards founder Drew Baldwin said, “This year’s Streamy Nominees represent the most diverse range of creators the Streamy Awards have ever seen, with stars on new and emerging platforms. The Streamy Awards is continuing to show its appreciation for the growing online community as this year it has added several more categories to furthermore honor other magnificent influencers who have contributed so much into making this online community flourish. • Virtual Reality and 360° Video, an award recognizing trailblazers utilizing the latest technologies in the digital space.
• Live, an award celebrating shows, channels, and events that happen in real time.
• Feature, an award to acknowledge creator driven, feature length movies.

The 6th Annual Streamy Awards will take place on October 4th at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. All of the winners for the event will be chosen by “the Streamys Blue Ribbon Panel, a judging body of creators, executives, and other experts in the online video industry” (source: press release). In addition, the nominees for two fan-favorite categories – “Entertainer of the Year” and “Show of the Year” will be announced soon and fans can vote for the winner leading up to the live show.

All of the influencers did such a remarkable job bringing out all of the exciting news of who got nominated at the event. YouTube mogul GloZell, as always, brought her terrific energy to the event and served as a magnificent host – she never fails to bring brilliance to everything that she does!
