It’s time to take a step back in time to the 80’s (aka one of the greatest decades… ever!) From the unrivaled music to the awesome, fashion styles – we all can agree that the 80’s is one of the most epic time periods. So, it’s clear to see why The Goldbergs, which is based on all of the hilarious 80’s moments from creator, Adam F. Goldberg’s life, has and continues to be a massive hit. With a total of five seasons thus far, The Goldbergs is one brilliant show that tugs on your heart-strings, one that makes you laugh endlessly, and one that brings out an amazing message – there is nothing better than family.
Starring in the fantastic show is the wonderful Sam Lerner who takes on the fan-favorite role of Geoff Schwartz. Sam Lerner brings so much laughs onto our TV screens and he makes each and every episode of The Goldbergs so fun and entertaining to watch. Sam Lerner has such an effortless way of bringing so much joy to viewers. His acting skills are indescribable and he was truly destined to have the awe-inspiring and successful career that he has now. Aside from working on The Goldbergs, Sam Lerner also showed his versatility by working on a horror film titled, Truth Or Dare alongside Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey. Sam Lerner continues to prove himself to be one profound and admirable actor who can take on any role and do justice to it. The outstanding Sam Lerner has exhibited his talent in other projects including Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, Suburgatory, The Secret Saturdays, Sonny With A Chance and many others. Sam Lerner’s terrific talent makes him stand out in the entertainment industry as one prolific and extraordinary actor that can’t be beat.

Alexisjoyvipaccess: You’re such a remarkable actor and we love watching you on The Goldbergs. Can you tell us what a typical day is like for you working on set of the show?
Sam Lerner: Hey, thank you for the kind words! A typical day is a lot of laughter. The show is so fun to shoot. We have an amazing cast, amazing writers, and it’s a dream working with comedians like Jeff Garlin, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Bryan Callen.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: The show is set in the 1980’s, do you have a favorite thing from the 80’s?
Sam Lerner: My favorite thing about the 80’s is either the music or the science fiction movies. I love Hall & Oates and all the upbeat 80’s dance music. I listen to stuff like that all the time. And obviously, Spielberg and Ridley Scott and other producers made amazing movies in the 80’s. To reference films like that is super fun.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: If you could see anything happen to your character in future episodes of the show, what would you like it to be?
Sam Lerner: It would be awesome to see my character end up marrying Hayley Orrantia’s character, Erica, on the show. I think the writers have done a great job with the “will they/won’t they” and the love story between them. So I think it’d be pretty special to see that happen. They’re still young so there’s obviously plenty of time.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: If you could work alongside any other actor / actress in a future project, who would it be?
Sam Lerner: I would love to work alongside Seth Rogen or Jonah Hill, or someone like them, in the future. Those guys are my idols and I follow their careers very closely. I admire them a lot.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You also will be starring in the horror film, Truth or Dare with Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey. What was your reaction like when you found out that you booked the role?
Sam Lerner: I was so excited to work with Blumhouse on Truth or Dare because Get Out had just come out when I booked that, and that was one of my favorite movies. It’s nominated for 4 Oscars! And I also had never done a horror movie. And I also got to play a character that I’ve never really gotten to play before. So, yeah. I’m excited.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: You have portrayed so many different characters, do you have a favorite one that you have starred as thus far?
Sam Lerner: My favorite character that I’ve gotten to play is either Quinn in Project Almanac or Ronnie in Truth or Dare. Mostly because I got to improvise and make the character my own in both projects. There’s nothing like having that creative freedom and being able to play around with a character like that. Improvising is my favorite.
Alexisjoyvipaccess: Lastly, if you could bring out one message to all of your fans, what message would that be?
