
It was a magical, warm and sunny day on October 5, 2014 as the sun shined on the iconic Santa Monica Pier. The blue carpet was rolled out and families, friends and some of your favorite celebrities came together to show their support to one awe-inspiring and incredible event! From celebrities playing basketball games with fans or playing ring toss to amazing celebrity autograph signings – let’s just say the 15th Annual Mattel Party on the Pier event could be describe in one phrase – “absolutely perfect”. The event made an overall record of attendees with a more than a whopping 2,500 guests and 4o television and film stars. The marvelous Sarah Michelle Geller hosted the phenomenal event.
Not only was the day filled with great music, unlimited rides, fun games and loads of smiles and laughs – but guests were even able to walk out with one super awesome gift bag! The sensational Mattel Party on the Pier event supported the Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA where all the proceeds were donated to. “For the past 15 years, Mattel Party on the Pier has provided unrestricted funding to launch high-priority programs and support innovative research discoveries that benefit children being treated at UCLA and around the world. Recent support has been directed to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and gene-therapy programs, research on autism-related epilepsy and treatments to improve immune function for children who have undergone chemotherapy and bone-marrow transplants.”
